Step 1

Map out a thick winged cat eye on upper lids using the sepia eye definer, using sepia allows you create dramatic shapes and make changes quickly and easily.

Step 2

Use the angle brush to move the liner into the desired shape, this brush is great for creating nice sharp edges for your liner, as well as cleaning up mistakes.

Step 3

Draw two lines underneath the lower lash line as well, tapering out at the far edge and intensifying at the inner corners. Trace over the sepia liner with black orchid eye definer once you are happy with the shape.

Step 4

Tie a bandana across your forehead, leaving one side over and one side under. Brodie’s hair was curled at the ends before placing the bandana. Tease hair at the root for volume and brush lightly, set with air control hair spray.

Finish

Set eye liner with black tulip eye color trio, using the black portion. Add highlight using the white portion to brow bones, cheek bones and the inner corner of your eyes. Finish with black mascara.

Makeup Tutorial: Summer Brights

Tap into the Summer Brights trend with this fresh, flirty eye look from makeup artist Hassan.

Step 1. Prep the skin with Aveda Inner Light Tinted Moisturizer SPF 15.

Step 2. Hassan used Aveda Eye Color Trio in Violet Bloom, Wild Indigo Eye Definer and Eye Shadow Transformer with a medium brush.

Step 3. Wet brush with a drop of Shadow Transformer and select middle shade in the trio. Place shadow on eye lid, blending up to the crease.

Step 4. Sweep liner across lash line and angle upward at end to create a playful cat eye.

Step 5. Finish with black mascara.

Step 6. Your eyes are now flirt-worthy!

Step 7. Complete the look with soft pops of colour on the cheeks and lips. Hassan swept Aveda Face Accent in Apricot Whisper high on cheekbones and finished lips with Pink Lotus gloss.

Step 8. Your Summer Brights look is complete! Colourful, fresh and perfect for summer.
