I’m SO VERY UPSET. I missed the deadline for Smite birthday skin contest because I looked at the ES time zone wrong. D’:

The skin was for my all time favorite god from Smite, Chronos, and had a demonic/angelic theme. He is one of the least popular gods so he never gets any skins... and probably never will after this. I’m so mad at myself! ;(

Well... might as well submit my skin here, It’s messy and unfinished (and has my signature color theme... oopsIdiditagain)  but I don’t feel like spending more time on it. Sob.

Still on hiatus

Thank you so much for still sticking with me even thought this blog has been puppy-only for the past 2 months! :)

Kiwi is now +4 months old and no longer needs my attention 24/7 (we are down to 20/7) and I can finally sit down and turn on my PC for a moment. Maybe draw a bit.

I gotta work on my thesis (about animated 2D illustrations) and the project relating to it. I also need to do some game art practices in case I get hired this Summer for a game studio. :) Fingers crossed!! But yeah, I’m probably gonna be more active next month when my pup has learned to be alone longer than few hours (without escaping her play pen).

My 9 week old puppy KIWI. ❤❤❤ Her mom is a purebred Alaskan Klee Kai (mini husky) and dad's schipperke/shiba inu mix. It's quite a mouthful so I just call her a black mini husky. She looks like a 5 month old schipperke atm. Kiwi has her own INSTAGRAM KIWI_ADDICTION now, feel free to follow~♡ She is keeping me sooo busy I can't find the time to do anything but look after her. My cintiq is getting so dusty lol. Kiwi loves cuddling and making weird sounds and has no respect for my face when I'm trying to sleep. x_x I've been grieving my dear dog Nelli (RIP 28th Dec 2015) and Kiwi has really helped me to move on. ♡ I love this little creature!

important update!

most of you know i sustained a wrist injury earlier this summer, and that i’ve been talking about it from time to time. it’s been better in periods, and then worse again. as soon as i work like i normally would, i have to take a few weeks paus to rest my arm, and currently my arm is hurting very, very much. i am so frustrated because there is so many things i want to do with my hands, like paint or play games or write letters or knit, but i can’t do those things now. i can hardly type this out because it burns so much. it’s gotten worse again lately, and i feel like i need to quit pushing myself completely and get some professional help. (i do have a doctor’s appointment in january and i’m doing stretches everyday!) 

i don’t want to continue to paint even if it hurts just a little, because i think it will just be so much worse in the long run. i’ve been trying to write and draw with my left hand and it’s going pretty well, but of course i’m also exhausting that arm by trying so hard. so that’s why i wanted to tell you guys that i won’t be posting art or new stuff for a little while. please send me your biggest well wishes, i really need them!!!

TO COMISSIONERS/POTENTIAL COMISSIONERS

i am now closing my comissions and will not add more people to my list. i will e-mail the first couple of people on the list, but the rest of you will simply have to wait even longer. i’m really sorry, and i’m sorry i can’t add new people. seeing the list grow stresses me out so much, and i haven’t been able to complete any of my comissions in decent time spans. some of you have waited for months already, and i’m so sad to say that there’s nothing i can do about it at the moment. ): doing comissions is a great source of income for me but i will simply have to put this on the shelf and recover completely before starting working professionally again. 

i will of course still be on tumblr everyday, but i won’t post as much. i’ll still answer all your questions and reblog cool stuff but yeah… gotta take care of myself now. it sucks so bad. honestly, it’s making me very, very sad. since i have nothing else to do during the days i don’t know what i will do now. lately i’ve just been laying in bed all day doing nothing and it’s not good for my mental health at all. 

to my penpals; continue to send your letters! i will write you short messages when i’m not in pain and i will bombard you with stickers! recieving your letters is usually the high point of the day and it just makes me very, very happy. 

i don’t know when i’ll be able to work for real again, but i might post like, small and quick paintings in a couple of weeks if i can handle it.

Hey~ I love your art and it was really hard to read about your hand injury. I hope you are doing a bit better already. Please don’t push yourself too hard and take your time.

I can relate to how you feel about not being able to do anything you want, especially those things that bring you joy and but please, please don't use your hand if it hurts!! It likely just undoes the healing, aggravates any inflammation and you're going to be stuck with the pain longer. :( Using ice gel and ice packs on your hand can help with the burning feeling. Try to figure out what is really causing the pain, like is it just overuse or is it your posture, stiff muscles in your neck/shoulder/upper arm, the way you hold your pen etc. Figuring the possible causes helps in the future when you need to take preventive measurement to avoid this happening again.

You are not alone with this shitty experience. :( I had a very bad repetitive strain injury last Summer in my right hand due to drawing +10 hours a day plus weight training.. my whole thumb and the muscle around it was inflamed all the way to the joints and tendons (3 out of 5 fingers were unusable). It got this bad by me ignoring the mild swelling and working thru the pain... yeah, please don’t do that. It eventually hurt so bad that I had to take pain killers constantly but the worst was not being able to do ANYTHING that I was passionate about. It really f**king sucks.

It is a relief to read that you are going to see a professional about your hand! It took me 3 doctor visits to actually get my hand “fixed“. Please be firm with your doctor and make sure they understand how much emotional and physical pain this injury is causing you. The 2 doctors told me to just rest and not use my hand which DID NOT WORK (I tried 2 weeks, it would have definitely taken muuuch longer). I’m glad that I did go again because 3rd doc prescribed me a drug called MELOXICAM and it WORKED. It took a bit over a week for my hand to start feel normal again, 2-3 weeks for the pain to be almost completely gone (I was already working a bit then). This might not be the drug for you since your pain is in your wrist and it’s possibly a different condition but I suppose it’s good to know about?

Nowadays I have to be constantly aware of the state of my right hand, avoid using it for long periods of time and take long breaks and swap to left hand whenever I feel the pain creeping back in. I had to give up some of my interests but it got better and it’s manageable now.

I tried finding information about hand injuries and I couldn’t find people telling many happy recovery stories so hopefully this gave you a bit of hope. Take care and get well~♥ SORRY THE WALL OF TEXT.

Spriter Pro is on sale!

If you guys like doing cutout animation, Spriter Pro is a great alternative for Spine Essentials! Also, Spriter Pro has IKs (Inverse Kinematics) unlike Spine Essentials which is a huge plus.

It’s almost half price until December 1st on Steam. What a deal!

One reason why I won’t be using this yet is because they don’t have mesh deform but they are working on it! It’s a very user friendly program and there are easy-to-follow tutorials on Youtube, give it a go if you’re interested. :)
