I’ve posted this before, but it still beguiles me.

The way it captures the mood and the emotions of that moment where the collar is permanently locked in place with a special tool.

Suddenly the realisation that this heavy piece of steel is going to be the object’s constant companion - a part of its body, day and nigh every day, of every week of every month of every year.

While it may grow a little more accustomed to it over the years, it’s heaviness its heaviness and bulk will not allow the object to forget it is there.

Nor will its size allow it to be hidden under a turtleneck sweater or other clothing.

It will constantly remind the object of its status as property, keeping it in a constantly self-conscious state of submission and servility, as well as signalling its status as a submissive chattel in the ownership of another, in a manner that will fill it with eternal shame.

Overcome with that intense feeling of being owned, of submissiveness and of shame that overcomes it as the collar is finally snugly affixed to its neck for ever, it’s attitude suddenly changes as it starts to resign itself to and reconciler itself with the rest of its life.
