Dean Christensen’s “Felt Cute, Might Delete Later.”

Opening October 29th, 2019 at Parasol Projects / 213 Bowery in New York City is artist Dean Christensen’s “Felt Cut, Might Delete Later.”

Christensen is a young figurative painter whose art tracks the birth and trajectory of the “iGeneration” and what it means to be perpetually tied to the world at large through the device in our pockets. Using satire and social media iconography, he compels us to examine ego, online persona, the human need for connection and approval, and the inescapable pervasiveness of advertising. His latest escapade is the creation of a CULT, with followers he calls “Deanie Babies.”

Gabe Leonard’s “The Starting Line” at Distinction Gallery.

Opening October 12th, 2019 at Distinction Gallery in Escondido, California is artist Gabe Leonard’s solo exhibition, “The Starting Line.”

Gabe Leonard is an internationally acclaimed California-based artist, best known for his cinematically staged paintings of sharpshooters, gangsters, gamblers and musicians. His aesthetic and subject matter have been described as a melding of Johnny Cash and Quentin Tarantino.

The exhibition will be on view until November 2nd, 2019.

Brian M. Viveros’ “Tougher Than Leather” at Thinkspace Projects.

Opening on Saturday, October 12th, 2019 at Thinkspace Projects in Los Angeles, California is artist Brian M. Viveros’ solo exhibition, “Tougher Than Leather.”

The artist’s well-known “bad-girls” emerge stronger than ever in “Tougher Than Leather,” embodying the tenacity and fight that it has taken Viveros to get through the past few years that have been wrought with personal struggles. Having recently lost many prominent members of his close-knit family, the resolve it took the artist to weather this storm pulses through his new body of work with a power that is palpable.

The exhibition will be on view until November 2nd, 2019.
