Note: This scenario ideally happens face to face. It is only put in this format for creativity purposes.
1. The activity was easy to make for me because I have read, watched, heard and experienced this type of script.
2. The guy was the one who admitted his feelings first and who asked the girl out. The girl was the one who confronted the guy at first but she became shy afterwards.
3. The expectation is that the guy should be smooth enough to make the first move in asking a girl out. The girl is expected to be the one to notice something because girls are generalised as sensitive. The girl is also expected to be shy and blushing after the confession.
4. These expectations came from traditions, culture and even media. Some culture and traditions expect that the guy should be the one to make the first move. These types of scenarios are also seen in books, movies, shows and on social media. Although, with the more open generation today, the stereotypes are, thankfully, challenged.
5. For me, there is no ultimate generic dating script. I just see this as one of the more popular ones. I personally added that the two are ideally friends (or best friends) first because I believe a good friendship is a steady foundation for a relationship, though this is not the case for all.
Disclaimer: This is according to what I have generally observed within the people I know and it may not apply to all students in each group.
Me: I am part of the singers, theatre kids and (sports) group but I am not as extraverted as most of them. When it comes to academics, I usually still put studies first before extra-curriculars. This exemplifies that people in the same group can still differ in personalities and habits.
my self care weekend: having fun in the arcade and relaxing while having a massage <3
System 1 is seen in panel 2 when Yana says, “This is a great opportunity!” but the thought is then interrupted by System 2 saying, “Wait, NO! I haven’t performed in years and that hasn’t helped my stage fight!!”
Optimism bias is seen in panel 6 when Kal says, “...nothing bad ever happens and I doubt anything would happen now,” but this was addressed by Yana in panel 7 saying, “You know that’s not true. There are a lot of possibilities.” In panel 8, Kal ends up agreeing and suggests that they will face it together.
Basic emotions: Happiness is seen when Cel and Kal find out about the good news, when Yana agrees to perform and when they finally do. Sadness is seen when Yana didn’t finish talking. Mild Anger is seen when Yana hears Kal’s optimism bias and disagrees. Fear is seen when Yana is hesitant to perform.
ABC model: The situation starts with the band being offered to perform for the legacy. Yana responded with fear. Thankfully, with the help of her bandmates, she agreed and finally performed.
From analysing my bioecological systems, I learned that I am closest to my family, schoolmates and friends because I spend most of my time with them. I also found out that these groups of people also interact because of me. In addition to that, I learned that the school authorities, the homeowner association and my parents’ workplace are groups that I am not part of but still affect me. Lastly, I found out that I am part of big groups in my society like my religion, my culture or country and the social class I belong to.
