montero (call me by your name) - lil nas x, 2021
the whole "how dare u not like being blocked thing" is insane, its like cancel culture for normies. if you never give anyone the chance online how are you ever going to have a lick of chance to do so in public?
if your go to reaction is to block someone the second things get uncomfortable, your tolerance to being uncomfortable will lessen.
also you get nothing but a distraction, you've done nothing about the thing that made u uncomfortable, you just ignored it. you wouldnt ignore and move on from triggers in therapy, so why would it be different for the less triggering things? it still caused a reaction.
and the whole "if it makes you spiral, get help, get offline" bullshit doesnt do anything but make people feel like shit. we're all messed up in our own ways even 'neureotypical karen' has problems. if everyone who had any issue at all avoided the internet, it wouldnt be running anymore. not to mention those who do get hurt by being blocked are most likely a child or a traumatised adult. the first, is a Child and has time to learn. the second, knows they need help and doesnt need you being an ass abt it.
blocking culture is as toxic as cancel culture, if not more cause regular people are actually being hurt from it rather than celebs getting their twitter's bombarded for an hour.
the people who are quick to block everyone and anyone act so tough, like theyre the superiority on this stupid website. when in reality theyre too childish they cant see a word without blocking someone.
the only time ive ever had to block someone is cause they kept blocking and unblocking me, over and over again to the point i felt watched: when i came online id be unblocked, get mssges the blocked again so i couldnt reply.
/that/ is what blocking is for; protection against people actually targeting you or your blog, or to get rid of bots. not to ruin some 14yr olds day or week bc they havent learnt its not okay to do certain things yet.
damn i never rant on here but this really grinds my gears. instead of blocking people just go listen to people by AJJ and shut up.

Are you alright? Terrified! I mean, history’s one thing, but an alien planet? I could always take you home. Oh, don’t you laugh at me.
