After hearing about his contract from Raphael, the boys sit down overlooking the underground river in the Gauntlet of Shar.

"You know you're safe with me," Avarice reminds him after a long moment of silent contemplation. He stretches his wings a bit to surround them both, shielding the vampire spawn from his surroundings.

"Nowhere is safe, not from him. Not from what he wants to be... He'll hunt me down and claim me if I run."

"Heh, stealing beautiful jewels from powerful men is my reason for living," Avarice says, sliding off the ledge to hover in the air. He holds his hand out towards his somber beloved, "and I won't lose the brightest diamond in all of Faerun to a wretch like that. I'll tear that gothic monstrosity down brick by brick if I must."

Pulling Astarion away from the ledge and holding him close, he drifts backwards, letting the pair of them dance in the air. The vampire chuckles before kissing him deeply, and holding him close, "then we take the fight to him."

Avarice unfurls his wings in the presence of other infernals, perhaps as an attempt at intimidation to make him look bigger? His chosen weapon, Bloody Bouquet, makes short work of the orthon and his merregons; though he would have liked to extort the demon instead of killing it, Astarion's deal with Raphael compelled him to slay it. Gotta keep his precious diamond happy.

Also, he ate more of that spider than everyone was comfortable with, and spent too long sitting on the bone throne making awful lewd jokes.
