For a limited time, I am now selling a selection of homemade photo editing presets created specially for each of the cities we visit around the world. http://www.clairealiceyoung.com/presets/ All funds raised through the sales of these presets will help to continue funding our worldly travels this year. I wanted to create something that would help photography lovers create beautifully coloured imagery whilst also helping us to continue doing what we love, travelling and sharing stories with all of you. The result is a set of two editing presets per city we visit (one Lightroom preset and one Photoshop curve), bundled together in a package for $12. What do you use to color your images? Would you ever consider selling a PS/Lightroom action/PSD/preset?

I use home-made presets to edit my images, I start in Lightroom with colour adjustments and finish in photoshop for curves and slight retouching. I’ve been thinking a lot lately about selling a collection of presets for a limited time only to help fund our travels. I’ve been getting quite a few requests so I might start working on it! (:xx

After calling the city home for three weeks my mind still can’t quite comprehend it. For a city that bares the scars of some of the darkest history the world has ever seen, it has a rebellious spirit which is infectious. A city of artists, anarchists, expats and passionate locals. Where work is optional and a sunny day should not be spent anywhere but your local park. It’s gritty, grimy and lively. Berlin is an abandoned playground, adopted by dreamers whom have patched its scars with street art murals and a strong sense of community."

Travelling is humbling, it has helped me to realise that I am just one fish in a vast ocean. Before this journey I was a naive child, and now my eyes have been opened to an entirely different world. Once you’ve stripped back everything you own, any kind of familiarity, it’s just you everyday in a new city and there really is no hiding from who you are. If theres one reason why I would recommend travelling young, it would be so that you can see what you may or may not be missing out on. So you don’t have to live your life wondering ‘what if?’, or dreaming of where the grass might be greener, and you can stop asking yourself what you need to do to be happy. http://www.clairealiceyoung.com/travel-truths/

I think your work is beautiful but as a person of color, I'm curious if you're open to shooting more models of color in the future?

Definitely. I would really love to photograph more women of colour!
