Today is an incredibly sad day for the automotive world. Dr. Simeone has left his mark in so many ways: expert neurosurgeon, community leader, but how most of us know him, he created the greatest collection of racing sports cars in the world, and then shared them with all of us.
It was an honor to get to know him, listen to his stories, and get infected by his passion for all things racing. It's no surprised he passed during his favorite race, and honestly, there's no better moment.
If you're a car person and you're in Philadelphia, it's a must to visit the Simeone Foundation Automotive Museum. It's Dr. Simeone's hard work that brought such an amazing collection together, and it was his honor to share them with the world. I never once heard him say "my cars", it was always "our cars" and I think that simple phrase sums up Dr. Simeone perfectly.
