[This girl was pretty. Much prettier than he had imagined. He hadn’t quite known what to expect to be honest. He didn’t know much about her family. Well, that was a lie, he knew a lot about her family. His Uncle made sure of that, but he didn’t pay close attention to what they looked like other than the Queen who was pretty much impossible to not know what she looked like. As he looked at Clarke, he could definitely see some similarities there.] Do you worry about disappointing her a lot? Because that must be stressful. [He sat down beside her, looking out at the garden for a moment before turning back to her. Bellamy nodded. He was sure her grandmother had mentioned it, but he was glad she didn’t remember specifics.] She probably has. It’s easy to get the names mixed up. After so many names they all start to run together. Trust me, you’ll never remember all of them. [A little smirk formed on his lips at her words.] Oh, I could definitely manage that, given the opportunity.
[She wasn’t quite sure why but when Clarke had imagined this party she hadn’t imagined there to be quite so many good looking men here. There was a real possibility that her future husband was in this room. It had only been a couple days before that she had learned that to become queen she must carried first. Clarke had been angry, she still was, but she knew it was something she would have to do if she was going to take the thrown. This party was an opportunity to meet potential prospects though she knew not all of them were here. Still though she had told herself she wouldn’t focus on that tonight, but she had to admit that the thought crossed her mind briefly when she thought about how attractive and charming this man was.] I guess it just depends on the situation. I don’t like disappointing her but I will if I feel like it’s something I need to do. It’s more I guess worry over disappointing the people, failing them. [She said with a shrug, brushing her fingertips against the petals of a nearby rose.] They really do, but yeah I’m sure I’ll have them all down eventually. [She couldn’t help but return his smirk.] Well who knows, maybe you’ll get that opportunity.
