Doctor Strange Part 2

I love Doctor Strange the character so let me tell you I was excited when I found out Benedict was playing him. He's exactly what I imagined him to be. For two years I've been waiting for this film and it did not disappoint. Benedict was as I imagine. A mixture of initial arrogance, charm, humour and later empathy. Chiwetel imbued Mirdo with purpose, clarity and you could follow his story and understand his pov. I'm waiting for the his plot in the sequel. I laughed at the Thor scene and at realising Strange is in the next Thor film.

Doctor Strange

The arrogance of the deluded on Tumblr who thought they could influence the outcome of a multi million dollar film. There are billions of people on this planet and you thought the few thousands on this site could boycott and ruin this film. JFC the bloody idiocy is mind numbing. I mean I agree about the Ancient one casting ( Michelle Yeoh) would have been a good option but everything else? Nope. The outrage is so over blown that I'm not surprised that it has had the opposite effect of sending people to the cinema to watch the film. Who wants a bunch of people dictating to them what they can and can't watch.

You know as much as I love Cassie, she has been so harsh to Cole all season. No matter what he does it’s never good enough. And he hasn’t complained or held it against her, If anything he has been understanding of her feelings and given her space.

Which is why I was glad that at the end she was the one who went to him. She had to be.

On the other end I’m so annoyed with Ramse. How many times must he betray this man he calls his brother? He finds it so easy to turn against Cole. 

Honestly no matter how badly Cassie and Ramse treat Cole, in the end he always forgives them. I’m actually not finding it heartwarming anymore, just because of how one sided it is.

London Has Fallen

Is terrible, just so bad and one of the worst films I’ve seen in awhile. 

But some of the reviews of it I’ve seen like Variety is just nonsense and head in the sand rubbish.

This film is not islamophobic because it has villains from Pakistand, not when we have terrorists and Islam running around, some of which are muslims. Are we supposed to push our head into the sand and pretend this shit is not going on in the world?

As long as I can remember Hollywood has taken the current zietgeist in bad people and used them as villains - Russians, North Koreans, Iranians, Isis etc. Nobody should act like having some villains from Pakistan is somehow out of order and racist.

No one took a race issue when the North Koreans were villians or when a few africans are put into films as bad guys.

Code Black

Just watching Code Black and I just don’t like Christa at all. She’s  just too extra. Always finds a way to make everything about her and some life story. A patient’s illness, life story oh no that’s just a way for her make it all about her.

It’s bad for me as I like Neal but not her so that story is a problem for me.

Angus is pissing me off. I get why he feels the way he does but how he;s handling it. Doctors do not have the luxury to flip out or mess about.

Black Lives Matter

Well until it comes to other black people outside of America.

I have just read some post fro

m people involved in the movement denigrating what happened in Paris. I don’t know whether there is truly mind boggling ignorance, stupidity or selfishness at work here.

Because a good portion of the people involved here don’t seem to realise that Paris is very diverse, has a high number of non-white and some of those killed were non-white people as well. They seem to think it’s all white people.

But they don’t care because what I am starting to realise is that for them the black part only applies when it comes to Americans, others outside of the country, well tough luck. 

As a non-american black person I don’t believe in their movement as I feel it’s not inclusive of all black people not just African-Americans. 

Appalling nonsense I’ve read.

And btw, ISIS do not give a damn about your skin colour. They will kill you and your family just for being a non-muslim. But carry on being ignorant on this.

PS Fucking A

Rick Grimes is not beholden romantically to any character on this show.

He’s not in love with any character. Well except for poor dead Lori.

But if he does happen to fall in love then it will not be OOC when the said character is not your fave female character. 

No character on this show is entitled to be in a relationship with him. Not Michonne, not Jessie.

I haven’t watched his story since the Pilot just to have it distilled to him being in love with your female character of choice and if that doesn’t happen then you turn on him. Cos if that’s all Rick is to you then you will have issues with the Rick fans. Serious issues in the future as from what I can see the majority do not give a damn about your ships or some shippers trying to make everything about his story all about their ship/insert female.

Everyone but Iris

Yes Eddie, just effing yes. It seems like it’s everyone but Iris knows. Actually it is when you look at the show’s main characters. They all know but Iris is over there in the corner being lied to repeatedly, even when she keeps picking up the investigative scent.

As much as I like Iris/Barry, maybe Eddie should take her to the Registrar (or where it happens) marry her, overrule Joe and tell her everything. lol I’m not letting this go, it just annoys.

I really love Cisco, he’s so freaking adorable. So I’m anxious every episode these days that something permanent will happen to him. They keep teasing it but then pulling him back. I get the feeling that this investigation into Wells will not end well for him. At all.

They haven’t done much with Caitlin in the past few episodes. Before the Firestorm batch of episodes I felt like I had a firm grasp on her character but now I don’t.

What is this - every episode let’s put Iris in an awesome dress? I mean that white dress was amazing.

Okay so, I don’t watch Arrow anymore, I don’t want to watch it anymore. I don’t give a damn about the characters so I really wish the crossovers would stop or just like be once every blue moon. I can’t deal with the annoying Felicity cluttering up my screen like this. Take her away back to Arrow.

Emily Kinney is really a bland actress isn't she. I never cared one way or the other on TWD but since she left that show, I've now seen her twice in Forever and The Flash and she’s just there, evoking nothing.

The hypocrisy

You just cannot go into a tag or forum where the majority love a character (i.e Rick) start declaring how you don’t like them, criticizing everything about them and not expect any of these people to exception to you. Don’t be so obtuse and not understand this bc I guarantee if these fans started in on your fave (i.e Michonne) you would be the first to be moaning about how the character is being hated. So the next time think about that.

And btw the sooner that it is understood that this show is never, ever going to make the Rick Grimes story revolve around a relationship or a female character or have it be continually how he appreciates said character the better off you would be. Certainly less frustrated. The audience and even more importantly the writers are not interested in that and quite frankly we haven’t been watching for 5 years just so we can disregard everything about him for a romance. Not bloody happening.

The Flash

I’m sorry but I’m not having all of this let’s lie to Iris over and over. Can’t they see that she’s too smart to ever be in the dark completely and will always pick up a thread/investigation that leads her close to the truth. She’s too inquisitive. Are they going to keep lying to her forever?

Just tell her and be done with it. She’s not a child that has to be molly coddled. Cause if anything she has shown me that she’s resourceful and can take care of herself. It’s patronising and insulting the way they act like she’s a child that can’t handle anything.

This is a plot that I don’t like at all.

On a happier note how beautiful and amazing did she look at the party. Never mind Barry, I wanted to kiss her myself, she was that pretty.

And I loved the Harrison Well backstory. Ugh I hated that his life got stolen and he and his wife died.

Andrew Lincoln was interviewed and I was interested to read his take on the show and Rick. The Jessie/Alexandra Breckenridge section was interesting.

You know, Alex Breckenridge, who is a brilliant actor, who’s joined us so seamlessly this season, we spoke about that a lot, about it not being just the smoldering looks and impulses… it was much more. [Rick and Jessie] are both damaged goods who somehow surprise each other with intimacy with each other. And I think she’s an incredibly subtle and true actress, and I love working with her. I think… if you put Rick on a lie detector test and said, “Do you have feelings for Jessie?” I don’t think he’d even know. I think he actually would be adamant and just like, “No.  But I certainly think there are moments in their history where something is ignited. Certainly she’s the first person that makes Alexandria a viable place for him. She explains it to him. She says, “You know, we’ve all lost things, and this is… look at the future. You know, there was so much bulls—t in the past, and look at it now. People that would never be talking to one another, they’re talking to each other now.” So she opens up a kind of, you know, a side to him that he hasn’t accessed for two years. It’s a man attempting to feel again. And I think all of the characters are doing that. They’re all trying it out in their own broken ways, to see if they can be human.

Firstly, I’m kinda looking forward to seeing this as I agree that Rick would initially disavow any feelings for Jessie. He’s hardened himself and at this point may view having feelings as weak. But if that’s the way the writers go with the dynamic between Rick/Jessie then we should see a gradual thawing and acceptability from Rick towards Jessie.

Honestly I’m into it as it’s an opportunity to see another facet of Rick. The more complex and complicated he gets the more I love that and him. 

Also, but really isn’t the gist from the quote above what Alex Breckenridge also said on Talking Dead about Rick/Jessie and got so much shit and name calling for it? But now here we have AL saying more or less the same, but I bet there won’t be quite the same/if any amount of vitriol aimed at him. 

Yeah maybe, just maybe these actors have a good handle of what their characters are feeling or will feel. And shouldn’t be pilloried for saying something that contradicts that whole image about a pairing that you have built up. Nobody is saying AB has to be liked but don’t come at her for an opinion that she probably knows a heck of a lot more than you.

Basically Jessie opens up a side of Rick that he hasn’t dealt with since Lori died. It’s the side of him that deals with his emotions on a romantic level. Deal with it.

Americans who don’t understand what the word terrorism means are fucking embarrassing.

Just like the ones who have tried to hijack another countries tragedy and make it all about them and their issues. It takes a special kind of asshole to take a mass murder of 150 people an divert the focus onto their agenda.

At this point I don’t care what it is they are saying but for the love of God just stop being so self-involved and make everything all about you. No one here cares anymore. Some of you guys are the absolute worst and make it impossible for most to take you seriously anymore.

Am I surprised about any of this though? This is fucking par for the course on this site. Idiots who have to make every issue, every tragedy that happens anywhere all about them and their issues.

No. After you have finished lecturing Europeans on what they are doing wrong why don’t you come over here and preach some more.

At this point just focus on your own damn country and leave others to theirs because I’m pretty sure you know absolutely nothing of Europe (actually make that the rest of the world).

You can’t just label this murderer a terrorist just so the American can feel better but then completely ignore what the real reasons for this. This is what investigations are for. So the cause can be found and measures put in place to hopefully prevent another tragedy.

And please pick up a dictionary and stop proving people here right on the American comprehension and education.
