My old friend, Mike Colburn, arranged for me to be included in an appearance on the Uncle Gus show on Channel 8 back in March of 1965.
I remember this event fairly well. I was crushed that I didn't win the Simon Says game. And since I was uncommonly tall for my age I was forced to stay in the back of the group during the filming. It wasn't a live broadcast so I got to see myself on TV a little while later.
Thanks, Mike!
Photo taken by Rich Testardi, an ex-co-worker. The lady is his wife, Isobel, and she is holding their daughter, Lily. The photo was taken in April of 2007. The restaurant is Zoe's in Somerville, just over the line from Cambridge. Zoe's is still in business. I was living in the Fenway at the time.
I look a little dehydrated and maybe flustered from having to think deep thoughts about anarchism and radical environmentalism.
I loved that shirt. I wish I was that weight again. I can't even fit into size 50 waist jeans now and must wear sweat pants.
Famous mathematician I worked with in the mid-80s while I was working at MITRE, he at System Development Corp in Santa Monica. He did an excellent job and I totally screwed up.

Me and mom thought this was pretty funny back in 1966. I don't remember if anyone else did. And I don't really know anyone else that would be interested in it now. It's hard when you can't share.
Got a used copy of it today from an HPB in California. Dan Greenburg was quite prolific back in the day. I think we got his, "How to be a Jewish Mother", as well, but it wasn't as funny to us Yankee goys.
Small family reunion in northern New Hampshire.
Man in baseball cap with moustache is Philip Clark, 72.
Woman with long blonde hair is Susan Clark, Philip's wife.
Small woman with white hair is Jean Townsend, 77.
Man in overalls is Chuck Townsend, Jean's husband, approx. 80.
The woman with greyish hair is Jan Hastings (69), for whom this meeting was organized. She was visiting from her home in Denver, CO. Jan is Jean and Philip's cousin.
The boy in the orange baseball cap is Jan's step-grandson.
The location is in front of Jean & Chuck's house.
Top two photos were supplied by Jan and the bottom three were supplied by Jean.
Top: Guy is standing on top of the tower. An artist is seated and painting. The woman sitting on the ladder is probably a tourist.
Middle: After the Clarks moved to Lebanon, about October 21, 1920, someone put a beacon on top to guide airplanes in a nearby airport. A man who grew up in Meriden said he could see the beacon from his house. A woman seems to be sitting on the stairs.
Bottom: This is the Guy & Ada Clark family with some others. Guy is on the right and Ada is in the middle carrying [i.e., is pregnant with] baby Arthur who was born a few weeks before they moved to Lebanon. The boy on the left is Charlie. Ruth is sitting in front of Ada with her face in the shadow.
A kind of christening certificate, I guess.
Arthur, Suzanne and Bob. I believe these were taken at the time of Avis’ funeral.
