I must say, I am enjoying doing illustrations right now. I am into artworks whose subjects are amazing bloggers who I really admire when it comes to how they manage their craft.
So today, I am glad to share with you another artwork of mine featuring Ms. Vina Guerrero(@vinaguerrero), one of the most famous bloggers in today’s country. Known for having simple but elegant taste of style. Who is also known to be the girlfriend of the well-known, and my idol, Mr. David Guison.
I decided to make her an artwork because I really admire how she manages her day. And how open she is for new things offered for her.
She also got my interest when she admitted to her readers that she often deletes her received mails who offer talk invites about blogging and such. Isn’t it funny that even famous and great bloggers also suffer stage fright just like us. Well, it is a proof that they are also humans. Humans who also felt great when someone appreciated their works.
So today, I just shared my post on Instagram and twitter. And happily, she appreciated it.
For sure, many of you will ask? Why Pastels? Feed featuring different colors, experimenting various cast and palette of colorful photos. How will you creatively express your day through these colors? And how will you effectively manage your feed considering some concepts of combination?
If you observe, many bloggers are now part of the trend. Actually, they were my inspiration why I switch my feed to a pastel-ish one.
Well, it’s my friend, Vivien Lee (@mariavvn) who is also a pastel-ish feed fan, who first convinced me to try this.
At first, I had a hard time on how to start it. I really don’t have any idea what kind of subjects or filters I am going to use. I was challenged on my first week, that’s why, I really did some research. I asked some of my friends, and I look for inspiration on other accounts. Gladly, in some way, I was able to achieve my pastel target for my feed.
Now, I am still experimenting for new ways to make my feed more pastel. But also, add some own touch to make myself quite different from the others. Like in my feed, I did alternations of pastel and light photos.
What is important the most is that you are open for new things for they might give you better results, right?
I hope I explained to you clearly why I feel #pastel right now.
So today, I feel so generous to share with you my top list for the 3 most used Photo editors I usually use in my Instagram photos. I feel so thankful every time someone messages me or comments in my posts like “What app is that?” or “How do you edit your photos?” Well, in an optimistic manner, I assumed that they were curious and interested in the apps that I usually used, that’s why, I wrote this list for you to read.
So first on my list, VSCO.
If you’re a certified Instagram user, I am sure VSCO (Visual Supply Company) is not a new term for you. No one can disagree with this because this free app truly offers the best filters that can actually satisfy all of your needs. From its basic adjustments up to its filters, it’s very user friendly. Thank God, I was able to avail its entire presets for a very affordable price. When it comes to the filter I usually used, SE3 is always my favorite, a not so dark filter but really gives some drama in your photos.
Second on my list, Adobe Photoshop.
I know Adobe for so long but I was introduced late on how to use it. Fortunately, I was able to learn its basic tools which I think are enough for me to edit most of my photos (well, thanks to my cousin, Xio Macasio(@xiomcasio) for his basic tutorials). In addition, some of my works were also created using Adobe, so it is really a blessing for me because I have learned new ways from this.
That’s why, I am really encouraging you all to try Adobe even the basics because it will really help you when it comes to editing.
And lastly, Snapseed.
Snapseed is like a mobile version of Adobe, it is actually like an Adobe installed in your mobile phones. A more complex editor than VSCO where I usually experiment my photos. Beside from its basic adjustment settings, I usually used dodge tool especially in my light or white-background photos, it make photos cleaner and brighter which I usually aim especially when I’m in my minimalist vibe.
So, that’s it! My top list for the photo editors that I used in my Instagram photos! I hope you learned a lot today from my blog. And I can’t wait to see your Instagram photos transformed by these apps that I have mentioned.
Just tag and be free to message me for suggestions and feedback.(http://clarkmacasio.tumblr.com/aboutme)
Ida is truly one of the most influential blogger in our generation today. Her sense of style including how she managed her social media accounts is one of the things I really admire about her. That’s why, I am very honored to make her as my subject in my first ever digital illustration.
Gladly, many people recognized and still recognizing my artwork. And one of them is Ms. Ida Anduyan (who is the main purpose of doing this HAHAHA). In fact, she re-tweeted my post. I am very happy cos’ she appreciated my work so much, which is obviously seen in her caption.
Well, I just really hope that she is serious about that because it will really an achievement for me if that would happen.
In the other note, I would also like to thanks other people who appreciated my work. And some of them are the following:
Thank you guys! I’ve never been so confident until I finally saw all of your comments and recognition.
I am very excited to do some artworks again because I know now that my works will be truly appreciated all because of you guys!
So, stay tuned for more and thank your for reading!
