“really? spill.”
It doesn’t involve ghosts, but it’s still pretty creepy. So back during the space race in the 60s, the Soviet Union send their Luna 3 probe on a fly-by course around the moon, and they managed to get the first ever pictures of the dark side of the moon, that’s public knowledge. But a few weeks ago I stumbled across this weird website that claimed this wasn’t the full story. They said that the picture the Soviets released wasn’t what Luna 3 really took, and that the real pictures were kept hidden from the public. Supposedly there was this sprawling web-like network of dark patches across a large part of its surface, almost like a huge city. The Soviets assumed that the US had made to space long before them and had built a secret base there, so they sent a secret manned mission to gather information. But, they never got any more pictures because the craft never returned. All they got were audio transmissions. Everything was normal until they reached the dark side of the moon, and then there was a loud screeching sound and screaming and this disgusting, wet crunching noise. They had a recording of it on the site, and even though I though it was bullshit at that point, that crunching kept me up that night. The mystery structures were supposedly gone by the time Apollo 8 came around and no one has seen a trace of them since. The owner of the site insisted that he was being watched and followed, and a bunch of other members claimed the same, but I figured they were just crazy conspiracy theorists so I left it alone. A week later I went back to the site for a quick laugh, but it was gone. I didn’t think much of it at first, but now sometimes when I’m alone, I get this unshakable feeling that I’m being watched, and I swear I can hear the screeching sound from the recording, getting louder and louder–until I start looking for the source. I’m probably just paranoid, but I guess what I’m saying is that if you start hearing screeching and it doesn’t go away when you look around, you might want to run for it.
