Howard M. Leese (born June 13, 1951) is anĀ #guitaristĀ #producer, who played with #rock #bandĀ Heart for 22 years (1975 through 1997). He continues to record and tour as a solo artist, and as guitarist with The Paul Rodgers Bandand Bad Company.
Leese had his first recording contract with Ed Cobbās Sunburst label[1] at the age of 15, as the band The Zoo with friend and drummer Mike Flicker. Later, when Flicker went to work for Jack Herschorn at Mushroom Studios in Vancouver, Leese went with him as a production manager. While there, he and Shelly Siegel started Mushroom Records.
It was at Mushroom Studios in 1974 that Leese helped produce a demo for Heart. The next year, Mushroom Records signed Heart and released the groupās first album Dreamboat Anniewhich Flicker produced. Leese was assistant producer on the album, and was asked to join the band later that year. He stayed with the band until 1997. Leese was Heartās guitarist, backing vocalist, keyboard player and song arranger. Apart from the Wilson Sisters, Leese is the longest serving member of Heart.
In 1998 he joined the The Paul Rodgers Band. He continues to tour with The Paul Rodgers Band and Bad Company.[2]
Rolf Brendel (born June 13, 1957) is a German #drummer. Brendel was a #drummer of  the #pop #rock #bands The Stripes and Nena. He also wrote and wrote a large part of the songs. Despite a few appearances in reputable shows like the Plattenküche or disco the band was not a big commercial success, in 1981 the group finally separated. Together with his former life companion Nena, who had also sung with The Stripes since the end of 1977, with whom he had been private since 1979, he was the band Nena from 1982, keyboardist Uwe Fahrenkrog-Petersen, guitarist Carlo Karges and bassist Jürgen Dehmel , Here, too, he played a large part in all albums as composer and lyricist.
Brendel separated from Nena in 1987 and moved to Los Angeles, USA for two years to study drums at the Californian Musicians Institute of Music. Subsequently, he returned to Germany and played for various German bands, including the Spliff drummer Herwig Mitteregger. In 2002 he took over the management of the German junior artist Marlon and worked for several years in his studio in Tostedt - Land. Brendel lives in the Lower Saxony Cloppenburg, where he works with the rock band Peter and the Rolf. On October 20, 2014, the book āNena - Die Geschichte einer Bandā was published by Aufbau-Verlag, Berlin. Rolf Brendel recapitulates the initial and successful years of one of the leading NDW bands. His memories are based on interviews with former companions (including Jürgen Dehmel (bassist), Jim Rakete (photographer and sponsor)) and various photos.
For Your LoveĀ is the first American album by EnglishĀ #rockĀ #bandĀ the Yardbirds. Released on June 13, 1965,Ā it contains new studio recordings along with previously released singles.[3]Ā The album features some of the earliest recordings by guitaristsĀ Eric ClaptonĀ and his replacementĀ Jeff Beck. The Yardbirds' manager,Ā Giorgio Gomelsky, who selected the songs, planned to capitalise on the group's hit "For Your Love". The album, released as the Yardbirds were preparing for their first American tour, reached number 96 inĀ Billboard'sĀ Top LPsĀ chart. It was unissued in the UK, although the songs with Beck were released in August 1965 on theĀ Five YardbirdsĀ EP.

The album gets its title from a line of this songās lyrics. The song was co-written by David Gilmour andĀ Roxy MusicĀ guitaristĀ Phil Manzanera, who later co-produced Gilmour'sĀ On an IslandĀ album and played rhythm guitar on the subsequent tour.

Plays Metallica by Four Cellos is the #debut #album by Finnish #metal #band Apocalyptica, released on June 13, 1996. It features eight instrumentalMetallica covers arranged and played on cellos. The band was invited to record this album by a label employee after a 1995 show in which they performed some of the songs. The members were initially unsure and thought nobody would listen to such a record, but the employee insisted and they recorded it.[2]

At the beginning of 1985, the band was given $8,000 by Combat to record and produce their debut album. After spending half of the albumās budget on drugs, alcohol and food, the band was forced to fire their original producer and produce the album themselves. The album features a controversial cover of āThese Boots Are Made for Walkināā and the track āMechanixā, a songĀ Dave MustaineĀ originally wrote forĀ Metallica. Brad Delp (June 12, 1951 ā March 9, 2007) was an #musician, best known as the #lead #vocalist of the #rockĀ #bands Boston and RTZ.
In 1969, guitarist Barry Goudreau introduced Delp to Tom Scholz, who was looking for a singer to complete some demo recordings. Eventually Scholz formed the short-lived band Motherās Milk (1973ā74), including Delp and Goudreau. After producing a demo, Epic Records eventually signed the act. Motherās Milk was renamed Boston, and the eponymous debut album (recorded in 1975, although many tracks had been written years before) was released in August 1976. Delp performed all of the lead and backing vocals, including all layered vocal overdubs.
Boston has sold more than 20 million copies, and produced rock standards such as āMore Than a Feelingā, āForeplay/Long Timeā and āPeace of Mindā. Delp co-wrote āSmokināā along with Scholz, and wrote the albumās closing track, āLet Me Take You Home Tonightā.
Their next album, Donāt Look Back, was released two years later in August 1978. Its release spawned new hits such as the title track, āPartyā (a sequel of sorts to āSmokināā), and the poignant ballad āA Man Iāll Never Beā. As they did with āSmokināā, Delp and Scholz again collaborated on āPartyā, and Delp penned āUsed To Bad Newsā.

John Kenneth WettonĀ (12 June 1949 ā 31 January 2017) was an English #singer, #bassist, and #songwriter. He rose to fame with #bandsĀ Mogul Thrash,Ā Family,Ā King Crimson,Ā Roxy MusicĀ andĀ Uriah Heep.
Following his period in Uriah Heep, Wetton formedĀ U.K., and later ā after a brief stint inĀ Wishbone AshĀ ā he was the frontman and principal songwriter of the supergroupĀ Asia, which proved to be his biggest commercial success. TheirĀ eponymous debut albumĀ sold eight million copies worldwide, and wasĀ BillboardĀ magazineās No. 1 album of 1982. He later formed the duo Icon withĀ Geoff Downes(also from Asia, ex-Yes, ex-The Buggles), and from the 1990s had a successful solo career, releasing several studio and live albums.
Wetton had a long career as an in-demand session bass player, collaborating with many members ofĀ progressive rockĀ bands such as Yes (Steve Howe,Ā Bill Bruford,Ā Alan White,Ā Billy Sherwood,Ā Peter Banks), Roxy Music (Bryan Ferry,Ā Phil Manzanera) andĀ GenesisĀ (Steve Hackett).

Pete Farndon (12 June 1952 ā 14 April 1983) was an #bassist and founding #member of the #rock #band the Pretenders. Farndon attended Hereford Cathedral School in his home city of Hereford, before embarking on his musical career with the Pretenders. In addition to playing bass with the group, Farndon sang backup vocals and co-wrote two of the groupās songs (āThe Waitā and āSpace Invaderā), before an increasing drug problem resulted in him being dismissed from the group on 14 June 1982.
Farndonās musical influences included Stanley Clarke and Jeff Beck. Farndon played with Cold River Lady until the summer of 1976, and then toured with Australian folk-rock band The Bushwackers prior to the Pretenders in 1978.
Farndon joined the Pretenders in the Spring of 1978, and was the first member of the 1978-82 lineup to be recruited by Chrissie Hynde. Farndon recalled their first rehearsal: āIāll never forget it, we go in, we do a soul number, we do a country and western number, and then we did āThe Phone Callā which is like the heaviest fuckinā punk rocker you could do in 5/4 time. Impressed? I was very impressed.ā A guitarist was still needed, and Farndon recruited lead guitarist James Honeyman-Scott into the group that summer. Farndon, Honeyman-Scott, and bandmate Martin Chambers all hailed from Hereford, England.

Graham Cyril RussellĀ (born 11 June 1950) is an English #musician, #songwriter, and #singer/#guitarist of theĀ #soft #rockĀ #duoĀ Air Supply.
In 1975, withĀ Russell Hitchcock, he formed Air Supply in Australia. The duo have been singing and performing romantic songs and ballads, such as āLost in Loveā, āAll Out of Loveā, āEvery Woman in the Worldā, āThe One That You Loveā, āEven the Nights Are Betterā, āGoodbyeā and āMaking Love Out of Nothing at Allā, for more than forty years.
In 1968, he moved to Australia and formed a second band in Melbourne, and began to also play solo in cafes and dance clubs, gaining ground on the Australian circuit.
In 1973, after reading spiritual and mystical content in search of knowledge and answers for several questions about life, Russell joined the rock operaĀ Jesus Christ SuperstarĀ in 1975 and metĀ Russell HitchcockĀ on the first day and became instant friends. They would sing Beatles songs together during and after shows and this would eventually lead them to form the band Air Supply.[5]
Frank Lee Beard (born June 11, 1949) is the #drummer in the #blues #rock #band ZZ Top. Frank Beard is notable as being the only musician in the band without a long beard, an ironic fact considering his last name. Beard was formerly with the bands The Cellar Dwellers, who originally were a three-piece band, The Hustlers, The Warlocks, and American Blues[1] before starting to play and record with Billy Gibbonsand Dusty Hill as ZZ Top.
Beard was born in Frankston, Texas, and attended Irving High School in Irving, Texas. In late 1969, he joined The Moving Sidewalks guitarist and vocalist Gibbonsā ZZ Top. Beard also introduced Gibbons to bassist and vocalist Dusty Hill, with whom Beard had played in the bandsAmerican Blues, the Warlocks, and the Cellar Dwellers. After honing their trademark āTexas boogie-blues-rockā style, they released their aptly titled ZZ Topās First Album on London Records in January 1971. When ZZ Top started, Beard was known by the nickname āRubeā and was credited as āRube Beardā on the first album and on Tres Hombres, the bandās third album, but is listed under his real name on Rio Grande Mud, their second album. After Tres Hombres, he was credited as āFrank Beardā on all the bandās albums.
