I haven't played many Amstrad adventures, but I'm pleased I discovered Eve of Shadows by Rob Buckley as I really enjoyed it. The graphics are pretty good and you get to switch between two characters, each with different abilities. It was even listed in Retro Gamer's top 10 list of Amstrad CPC 6128 games :-)
Here's an adventure puzzle dependency chart I created for Valkyrie 17 using Chris Ainsley's tool at https://eeyo.io/pdcbeta/
For each puzzle it shows where you need to be, what you need to be carrying and what needs to be already solved :-)
