One thing that just now occurred to me is that up until now, the only character that got married besides renruki/ichihime was ikumi. She remarries according to Kubo. And now Chad gets married too. Difference between those two and Uryu is that Uryu is a popular character and I think that could explain why Kubo gave such a non direct answer.

After the pushback that Kubo received when pairing popular characters like rukia and ichigo he might be more hesitant to do the same with other characters like Toshiro, grimmjow, or uryu. I’m betting he would have responded the same way if someone were to ask him the same question but with Toshiro or Yoruichi.

Only reason I’m putting this out there is bc of some reactions I’ve seen online in the JP fandom. Chad barely has fans there but someone did get mad at the possibility of him being in a relationship. Uryu has even more idol-like fangirls, some don’t like the idea of him “belonging to anyone”.

Kinda related but there’s also aemond the one eyed targ who is romantically involved with Alys(looks like like Alayne) a dark haired bastard woman. Alys is said to be a witch and Sansa is described killing Joffrey with a spell.

No me too, both are older daughters who are the rightful rulers but male relatives get in the way(I think Robb’s will will disinherit her). Though I do think that Sansa will get winterfell in the end like in the show.
