Shin. AFAB. He/She/They. 31 years of age. Love to write, make fanfics, and fangirl. Worldbuilding is love, worldbuilding is life. Support my brand pls and ty. <333
Howdy! P.V. here! I remade (again) because my previous username has too many bad memories attached to it. Besides, I could use a rebrand. With that being said, this is Shin and I am now going to just focus on GFX and the occasional PSAs. No drama. No fuss. No muss.
I will also be reblogging Commission Posts, Signal Boosts, and the likes to help my fellow Tumblr Peeps who are on the struggle bus financially. Because nobody deserves to struggle in life. With all of that being said, feel free to ask for icon requests. I'm also available to commission for anyone interested in commissioning me.

WHERE ELSE TO FIND ME: @pvposeur (personal/authorial blog)
So my job has cut literally everyone's hours (minus their 11 managers at McDonald's ofc) because of school being out and it being summer break which means that it's going to be incredibly slow until school starts back up in August. I need money for gas, bills, OTC medications, paying off loans, and other necessities (food, pet needs, etc.) and with me not even working 20 hours a week now, it's going to be next to impossible to do all of these things.
I, quite literally, do not have enough gas to last until I get paid on Monday (6/8) to get to/from work, run errands, etc. Not only that, but I tend to donate plasma on Wednesdays and Fridays for $120/week because I'm guaranteed these two days off each week. I could use any and all of the help I can get right now guys. RIGHT NOW I ONLY NEED $15 FOR GAS TO LAST UNTIL NEXT MONDAY. This will guarantee me being able to safely donate donate plasma for the $120 I'll need until Monday.
I TAKE DONATIONS VIA CASH APP AND PAYPAL!!!!!
Down below are some examples of my works for anyone interested in commissioning me as well as a link to my Ko-Fi and tag here!! For more information about my commissions, please look at COMMISSIONS, RULES & GUIDELINES, FANDOMS I'M WILLING TO WORK WITH!! If you have any questions, comments, or concerns then feel free to HMU via DMs or asks!! I'm relatively laid back and chill, I promise!!
Sorry I haven't been on here lately. Work was kicking my ass there for a minute and I hadn't been wanting to get on Tumblr a whole lot when I did have the time to myself. HOWEVER! Because they've been cutting QUITE LITERALLY everyone's hours (minus the 11 fucking managers McDonald's has because #logic) because it's been kinda sorta dead lately since it's now summer break.
With that being said, I'm going to be on here more because I'm in desperate need of getting more money in my pocket and will be doing commissions!!
With everyone freaking out over the sheer thought of Stupidr Tumblr eventually shutting down, I figured that I ought to reupload my tutorial on how to Roleplay on Pillowfort.
Now for those of you who aren't familiar with Pillowfort, it's definitely a Tumblr alternative that's still in the Beta Phase. It's also 100% user-funded. Does it have all the cool features that Tumblr has like an askbox? No. But it does have the following things that are pretty similar:
An Inbox for you to DM people privately (kinda like how Fan Mail used to exist way back when).
Built-in Followers, Following, and Mutuals sections.
Filters and Blacklist.
Blocked Users.
Enable/Disable NSFW.
Communities.
Queue.
With all of that being said, I will show everyone how to roleplay on Pillowfort under the Read More.
001. Open Post in a new tab. You will see how it ought to look in the two screenshots down below.
002. I zoomed out the page to show what's all included in the page, itself. You have the Title (optional), text box, tags box, and the whole nine yards down below. I will show you two separate posts on what they look like with an icon and without an icon (aka iconless).
WITHOUT ICONS.
WITH ICONS.
BOTH POSTS ON THE SAME SCREEN.
003. To reply, you will click on the comment box which then prompts a pop-up window to show up as seen down below.
004. Start typing out your reply, post an icon of your choice (optional) and then hit submit. It will look something like this when done as seen down below.
WARNING: Yes, the icon will look "oversized" as seen in the first screenshot. This is a site-wide bug that has been around for quite some time. And while there's no guarantee that you'll be able to resize your icon, there's nothing to worry about because your icon will appear normal after you submit your reply as seen in the second screenshot.
005. After you reply the OP will they reply to your post with me highlighting the widget you click and the two of you just go back and forth as seen down below!
And that is all she wrote! It might look pretty intimidating but it's not as scary as it looks. What is also super cool is that you can Collapse and Expand specific blocks of replies so it doesn't look as clunky or messy or stressful.
If you want to see what the responses look like in the tutorial then feel free to check the dummy post linked here. You're also more than welcome to reply to the linked dummy post to get the hang of how things work if it makes you feel better!
Now if any of you guys would like an invitation then feel free to shoot me an ask and I'll send an invite your way. We all get 10 single-use invites a week and 3 multi-use invites a week and then it restarts after the seven (7) days is up.
NSFW POSTS ARE ALLOWED. I mean, hello?? This is super beneficial to those who enjoy writing smut and the whole nine yards. You can also toggle the Show NSFW Posts feature on and off for those of you who are uncomfy with NSFW stuff!
MUTUALS IS EMBEDDED BY DEFAULT. You get to see by default who you are mutuals with unlike Tumblr where you, unfortunately, have to install New Xkit just to find out who you are mutuals with.
THE QUEUE FUNCTION EXISTS. It has a queue system just like Tumblr for those of us who rely heavily on this function.
WHO YOU CAN RECEIVE DIRECT MESSAGES FROM. Unlike Tumblr, you can choose between NO ONE // MUTUALS ONLY // FOLLOWERS ONLY // ANYONE. This is a step in the right direction IMHO.
UNLIMITED TEXT. Well, sort of. It's a looooot bigger than Tumblr's by literal tenfolds, I kid you not. The same is equally true with the tagging system tbh.
FILTERS & BLACKLIST ACTUALLY WORKS. Unlike, you know, Tumblr. RIP. You can blacklist just Tags or go the Post Body and Tags route and you're good to go.
THE BLOCK FUNCTION ACTUALLY WORKS. I'll just copy/paste what @robot-horde said in their post: When you block someone you will not see any of their posts, even if someone you follow reblogs their post. They canât see anything from you either.
YOU CAN ADD IMAGES IN THE COMMENTS. I mean, hello?? How awesome is that?! There's also no character limit, so there's that!
CONS
AESTHETICS (subjective). If you're all about the #AestheticsFTW, then you're kinda sorta SOL for the time being. The reason for this is because HTML editing, color coding, etc. aren't exactly a thing yet.
MUSIC & VIDEO EMBEDDING ARE NON-EXISTENT. Yeah, yeah, I know. It sucks. But you need to understand that allowing music, videos, and pretty any file that's HUGE in size costs a lot of money. In fact, cohost having infinite storage for images and such is basically why they shut down when they did. They just didn't have the money to upkeep everything and went into debt.
IMAGE FILE SIZE. Unless if you get a Premium Account, the biggest file size you can upload is 2MB. Lucky for us, it's hella cheap to get a Premium Account (legit only $64.48/year for EVERYTHING but you can also pick and choose what you want).
NO @'ING FUNCTION AVAILABLE. So, in other words, you have to DM your buddies to let them know that you made a starter for them. But after that, you'll at least get notifications for when they reply to your posts so that's something.
NO ASKBOX. This is definitely a huuuuuge drawback for those of us who enjoy receiving asks and whatnot. But it does seem like the staff is genuinely trying to implement this feature later on down the road.
YOU DO HAVE TO ROLEPLAY VIA COMMENTS SECTION (subjective). Since reblogs doesn't allow you to add stuff to it, you do have to roleplay in the comments section. But it's really not as bad as it sounds especially since I've made a tutorial on how to roleplay on here!
LACK OF SIDEBLOGS (subjective). This is extremely problematic to those who rely heavily on having hub blogs and sideblogs as their RP blogs. Worst case scenario, you can just have (what feels like) 50 different blogs and have (what feels like) 50 different web browsers installed like I do. XD
Hey, guys. Sorry for not being active on here lately. I got a job almost two weeks ago and it's more or less been kicking my ass physically and mentally. And, unfortunately, I wasn't able to finish the Mario icons. I'm still working on them, rest assured, so there's nothing to worry about. I'm also working on making icons for Grimmjow Jaegerjaquez from Bleach (colored manga) for anyone interested in using those.
Do you want to try something different? A different website, maybe? You don't have to get exclusive and get married to it right now, you can just come check it out.
Here, take this invite link and come check out Pillowfort
I even made a checklist for you to help you take a look around. I made this for YOU! If you need help with feeling lost, finding your way, or getting started in general, I made this for YOU!
Hi, I'm Tae, and this is my Pillowfort explanation. There are many guides out there to explain how to do just about anything you'd l
If you're sick of tumblr yelling at you to not post NSFW when all you did was post some sand, come to Pillowfort where their payment processor explicitly allows explicit content.
If you're sick of Apple pulling some bullshit with their app store, come to Pillowfort where there is no app store playing dictator, but you can still get a Progressive Web App for your phone anyway. Or use it in your web browser! It actually works!
If you're feeling betrayed now that tumblr did this dumbfuck update that cuts off reblogs from the original post, stifling conversation, isolating its users from each other, and ruining the point of the website in the first place, come to Pillowfort where they don't do shit like that. Come make comments. Have a real conversation.
With the news of Cohostâs closure and Tumblrâs continued mistreatment of its users, those looking for an alternative platform may want to consider Pillowfort. In this post Iâll go over some of Pillowfortâs policies, setup, and emphasis on community to help prospective users decide if itâs a good fit for them.
Pillowfort has an explicitly Anti-AI stance.
Theyâre strict about it, so the downside is you canât post AI images to use as examples when discussing or making fun of the topic.
They allow NSFW.
NSFW content is very much welcomed there, but it is required to be marked as such.
This means you have the option to toggle NSFW content off so you can avoid it entirely if you want.
To read the specifics of what sfw and nsfw content is and is not allowed on Pillowfort, check out point 8 in their TOS.
There is no recommendation algorithm.
Your feed is self curated, which does take some getting used to if you havenât been on a platform like that before.
You start out following no one and have to dive through tags and communities to find people posting about your interests.
They are user funded.
This does mean some users need to donate or subscribe to Pillowfort Premium in order to reach the siteâs financial goals each month.
Unlike Tumblr, âPillowfort does not now, nor will it in the future, sell (their) user information to third-parties.â
This means that unlike many social sites, you are NOT the product!
The benefit of this is they do not have to bow to shareholders! Site users and their experience is their priority.
There is a communities feature
Similar in concept to Redditâs sub-reddits. It allows for individuals to create and reblog posts into topic specific groups.
Itâs a good way to find people to follow and quickly fill up your feed, but it also means you donât necessarily have to follow a userâs blog to see posts from them on topics you enjoy.
Staff is transparent about funding and finances.
They have a budget breakdown on their donations page so you know exactly where your money is going.
Thereâs also a donation counter updated daily so everyone can see how close we are to reaching our monthly goal.
Apart from January 2024, Pillowfort has reached or exceeded the donation goal every month, with excess from other months making up for the shortfall in January.
As of this post, Pillowfort is funded through January 2025.
It is accessed through your browser.
The mobile site has some bugs and isnât as smooth as desktop, but it still works well. Currently Iâm on mobile full time and my experience has been nearly the same as it was on desktop.
A progressive web app (PWA) is in the works and itâs very high on their priority list. It should be out sometime in late 2024 - early 2025.
Tags actually work!
Unlike Tumblrâs system, when you search a tag on Pillowfort the only posts that come up are ones containing that tag. Itâs not looking at text in the body of the post to include in the search.
Tags are also easy to blacklist. When you donât want to see a certain tag, blacklisting fully hides the content from you.
In addition to tagging, Pillowfort has post privacy settings. You can set posts to be viewable by logged-in users only, followers only, or mutuals only. As well as turn off reblogs and comments.
Blocking is effective.
When you block someone you will not see any of their posts, even if someone you follow reblogs their post. They canât see anything from you either.
The most you see from them is the text âsomeone commentedâ in place of their comments on other peopleâs posts. It can be annoying to see, but the benefit is it allows you to see and interact with all the other comments in a thread even if someone youâve blocked is involved.
The community is welcoming.
The community is small, but it is generally friendly. People are excited to see new users join and are very eager to answer questions and help out.
They often make guides for new users to answer FAQs and give helpful tips.
Thereâs also communities, like Pillowfort101, dedicated to answering questions about the site and helping people navigate.
Itâs âquietâ in nice ways.
Instead of callout posts (which are explicitly prohibited), people tend to block, move on, and let Staff handle the rest. This kind of attitude amongst users makes for the most low stress social media experience Iâve ever had.
Because of its small size in comparison to Tumblr, not all tags are super active with endless scrolling.
HOWEVER-
This means that by joining and bringing your hobbies, passions, and fandoms along with you, youâre helping to build a community from the ground up!
Because of its small size, many people on Pillowfort are open to hearing about topics they otherwise wouldnât have encountered, so donât be shy about introducing your interests over there.
It lacks certain features.
Pillowfort does not have reblog replies. Instead, additions and conversations are done through threaded comments on a post. A benefit of this is it gives users more control over interactions with their post.
Side blogs arenât a current feature, though it is a feature planned for the first half of 2025.
Pillowfort has DMs, but not asks. However, asks are also planned for the first half of 2025.
Arranging images in a post can be frustrating sometimes. The system is high on their priority list to update and improve though, especially before the PWA launch.
Thereâs not currently a good setup for alt-text. It is an option, but thereâs a character limit and itâs difficult to find. The most effective form of alt-text is putting it directly into the body of a post.
There are not custom content warnings like on Cohost or Mastadon. Thatâs all done through relying on people to tag or to write a warning above a read-more.
Joining
Thereâs several options to join. Thereâs a waitlist, which is the easiest option and typically takes less than an hour to get through. Thereâs also invites, which is the quickest option. I have a couple dozen I can give out, but thereâs also people in the Pillowfort tag on Tumblr giving them out from time to time. The last option is paying $5 to get an invite instantly.
In Conclusion
Itâs a small site so itâs not nearly as active as big platforms like Tumblr or Twitter, but community is a major focus of the site. From my personal experience it feels more like a place to talk with people, and not just at people. You may have to be the one to initiate conversation, but if you go looking for conversation itâs not hard to find.
As more active users join and begin participating in the site, I believe it will flourish. Overall, thereâs a lot of room for growth on Pillowfort, but I for one am happy to buckle up and come along for the ride and I hope to see more of yaâll join too.
The reblog chain is one of the things that makes Tumblr unlike anywhere else. All the notes on reblogs are attributed to the original post, no matter which branch people actually liked or reblogged. We want to keep encouraging conversations, and give contributors the recognition they deserve.Â
Soon, you'll be able to like, reblog, or reply to any part of a reblog chain, and that note will go to that reblog's author. Each reblog will have its own counts, instead of one aggregated number from every version of the post. And yes, youâll be able to like multiple posts in one chain.
If a reblog doesn't add anything, the love flows up to the last person in the chain who did. Your post doesn't lose notes just because people spread it quietly.
Past notes will stay on the original post â we're only changing what happens from here on out. Retroactively re-attributing all of them would be... a lot.
This is just the beginning. More changes are coming as we keep building this out â stay tuned!
Itâs very clear that you all have strong feelings about Tumblr and about this change. We hear you. The passion people have for how Tumblr works is one of the things that makes this place special.
As this rolls out over the next few days and you explore it, weâll keep reading your replies and reblogs, so please keep sharing your questions, concerns, and ideas.
Your creativity has always been the heart of Tumblr, whether youâre the original poster or adding something brilliant in the reblogs, and nothing about this change is meant to limit that.
If youâd like to talk directly beyond the comments, leave a reply and weâll follow up with as many of you as we can. We want to work with you to make Tumblr better.
You have not heard us. Please change it back to how it was. That is ALL we want. If you roll this out, you WILL kill your own site. If not by a massive chunk of your userbase leaving, then your ENTIRE SITE being destroyed. Please listen to us and understand THAT WE DO NOT WANT THIS. Dont put it out, WHATEVER you do. That is ALL we want.
Bold of everyone to assume that Tumblr's ever listened to us. They've been GRADUALLY making it worse and worse as time progresses. But here's the kicker: it hasn't stopped the vast majority of Tumblr's userbase from leaving. Have a lot of us left? Yeah, sure. But it's not â nor has it ever been â enough to make an impact on them financially. Why? Because they keep coming out with new perks and shit that lures people into throwing their money left and right at Tumblr. Literally the only way it would make any difference is if any of the following happened:
We all rioted and switched over to ... oh, IDK ... Pillowfort. I do have invites that I can send out to people so that you guys can make accounts immediately.
The Tumblr staff just randomly decided to delete this website tonight or tmorrow. Which, you know, is very unlikely but that doesn't mean it wouldn't.
But, until then, there's not really anything any of us can do about it. Which sucks, but that's just how it is. And let's not forget that there are, in fact, people who'll stay on this website regardless of how shitty Tumblr's become because "It might be a hellhole of a website, but it's MY hellhole of a website. /affectionate." despite bitching about all of the changes they keep making.
This is a blog strictly for creating polls. No, we don't need your soul for the polls. Yes, we do need you to vote in the polls. Here is a list of things to keep in mind when it comes to voting:
YES! You can state your opinion via comments, reblogs, tags.
NO! You cannot bully people for disagreeing with you.
YES! You can ask questions and request polls.
NO! You cannot force me to make polls.
YES! You can send me advice on how to improve my polls.
NO! You cannot tell me how to run this blog.
All polls will be tagged accordingly to make it easier for searching, blacklisting, tracking, and the likes. And if you'd like to find me elsewhere, then feel free to check out my other blogs: @pvposeur & @psyducksgfx.
I might or might not be making stuff for Mario day coming up next week. I'm already at 100 characters for one of the characters. >B)))) I might even make some GIFs, PSD Colorings, and such if I'm feeling up to it.
I'm working on getting more active on here and, currently, I'm working on making a whole ass batch of F2U icons of Grimmjow Jaegerjaquez from Bleach (colored manga specifically). Not quite sure who I'm gonna make icons for after him, but I'm open to suggestions. It can be from any of the fandoms listed here.
And if y'all want me to make icons of characters from a fandom not listed on there, then feel free to ask! The worst that'll happen is that I'll say no. I'm pretty laid back all things considered!
