I spend a lot of time adding missing/cut-out scenes to the episodes and correcting/improving the original translation a group of fans made on viki.com many years ago.

Hello, everybody!

Yesterday I realized that I have already finished editing 20 per cent of the episodes (34 of 169). Nonetheless, it took me 3 years to do that, and I don’t want to finish editing the rest of the episodes in 12 years! T__T

That is why I need your help. Now I have lots of free time to edit the subs -and I could release one episode per week- but as you can imagine, I need some money to pay the bills and make ends meet, just like any other person. I would prefer to find a “normal” job in the profession I have studied, and I am looking for one in my country. However, if I manage to get a job, I will not be able to release one episode per week.

Therefore, I have created a Patreon account and I would really appreciate if you become my patron and help me to finish editing the translation.

Once I’m done with “Yo soy Betty, la fea” I plan to continue with “Ecomoda” and maybe with “La Hija del Mariachi” (The Mariachi’s Daughter), another telenovela Fernando Gaitan helped to create.

Hello! You’re welcome. The unabridged version has a total of 169 episodes, just as it was first aired in 1999. I watched the telenovela at that time, that’s why I can assure you of that.

It took me a lot of time to edit/correct this episode’s translation. There were lots of dialogue all the time! And I also had to do some research about the financial concepts they talk about :S Anyway, I hope you enjoy this episode ^__^

Hello, everybody! As you know, I've never asked any money in all these years. But now I find myself in economic distress: I don't have a job (and it seems so hard to find one in my country!), I'm drowning in debt and that's why I haven't been able to buy a new computer monitor, because the one I had got broken 5 months ago.    Since then, I've been using my family’s television as a monitor, but it's really exhausting to connect it to the CPU everyday! I have been doing that these last months to use the computer, and that includes working on the translation and subs. Moreover, since I can't move the CPU nor the television and they are not close to each other, I've been straining my eyes to see the little numbers and letters as they appear in Aegisub software (the one I use for the subs). And my family wants to watch TV sometimes so that reduces the time I can use the PC  T__T I could release an episode per week now that I don’t have a job (it took me 6 days to edit episode 30), but I would need a computer monitor to do that. I’m even thinking of creating a Patreon account, but let’s talk about that later. Now I urgently need a monitor! So now I'm asking your help to buy a new monitor. If there is money left, I will use it to pay part of my debts. I'm in a tight spot and it would mean the world to me if you can give me a helping hand.
