•Never in my life, have I experienced such pain and joy at the same time, like I did the day I became a mother. The phrase, "your life will change" was a complete understatement to what really happens to you: mentally physically and emotionally. For the first two weeks after giving birth, I could not stop crying, everything was so painful. My body was no longer the vessel that I used to know, and although I knew it was much stronger, I wasn't sure how comfortable I was with myself anymore. 🍂 •Despite all of the above, I am living the most beautiful phase of my life I have managed to become a mom, something I was not quite sure if I ever wanted to be. Not because I didn't love children, but simply because I never thought I'd be good enough to become a mom. 🍃 •The first time that I tried to breast-feed my baby Luna, I felt like I was failing at something that should come natural to me or at least that's how the nurses made me feel. During my recovery at the hospital, I remember having a little notepad next to my hospital bed and just writing down every detail of my baby; for example, her feeding and sleeping schedule, also how many wet and dirty diapers she has had. Never before have I been so cautiously monitoring something so fragile in my life. At times, when my husband was receiving phone calls congratulating us on our new bundle of joy, I looked around and somehow I felt alone. 🌹 •Then, at that moment right before crying a g a i n, I looked over and I saw that little delicate piece of me with its own heartbeat, its own little hands and feet, sleeping so peaceful.
