yesterday this girl in my academic writing class sits down next to me and puts 3 bananas on the desk (which was jarring by itself) and i had two bananas in my backpack so i wanted to see if she would notice if i added those to her banana pile when she wasn’t looking and when she finally looked back at the bananas she sighed and said really quietly to herself “oh my god…i have so many…” and put all five of them in her backpack

No joke, it would probably be illegal for Kim Kardashian and Kanye West to name their baby Saint West in New Zealand. The rules set out by the Department of Internal Affairs prevent any person from having a name that implies they have a title or rank they do not actually hold. Banned baby names include Duke, Prince, Princess, Majesty, Royal, King, Bishop, Knight and Christ.

And just as a reminder, I’ll note that New Zealand also banned the following names that people tried to use for babies:

Sex Fruit, 4Real, V8, Senior Constable, 3rd, 09, Lucifer, Mr, Mafia No Fear,  Messiah, Yeah Detroit and Anal.

‘Talula Does The Hula From Hawaii’ was allowed for a while - until a Family Court judge stepped in to force the parents to change it. Meanwhile, the name ‘Number 16 Bus Shelter’ was allowed.
