It takes Several Women to redeem a durge
"Is that so? We clearly move in different circles."
A reasonable one
all these anons trying to get galstarion pregnant are just durge's inner monologue desperately bargaining. drow my deepest condolences but your wife queefs out the dust of the crypt. those are century eggs.
Uh, he'd take it pretty well I think.
tell me you love me, but not very much
Would you mind going more in depth about Drow's relationship with cannibalism? What is it about it? Is it as simple as him just enjoying the taste of humanoid flesh or, given that he ate Orin in that one AU and often talks about munching on Astarion, is it about love/intimacy for him? I kinda have an inkling it's the latter, but I'd love to hear more.
So, bear with me for a moment.
DU drow really likes animals. He doesn't like animals in the sense where he coos at them, where he yearns for a cat to crawl into his lap, or to pet a wild predator in some sort of whimsical, life-changing moment. He likes nature as the undisturbed, self-balancing, grandiose and gory ecosystem that it is. He respects it. He thinks it's the closest that anything comes to perfection. This is (ironically) why he really dislikes druids and sees them as kind of disturbing what is a self-sufficient system that works because of its lack of human-reason or law.
I think when he first ever saw an animal kill another and eat it, he thought that was absolutely magical. Through all of his years in isolation as he grew up, his company often happened to be wild life that he either killed for resources, had to fend off for survival, or just watched from a distance. When he hunted something for food, it was with the understanding that he could meet the same fate tomorrow - that it's all cyclical - that parents sometimes kill their young and their young sometimes eat their parents, that sometimes mating is scary and violent, that birds will push eggs off a nest to make space for their own and predators will start eating you alive if they have to. It's all deeply impersonal and practical, and yet it's a cruelty that utterly lacks malice. It's all done in the name of Need. To the point where everything that's left on the ground will grant some other creature one more day of life.
It's all somewhat abstract and I think me trying to connect point A to point B super clearly would defeat the purpose, put hopefully I was able to paint a picture. Consuming someone is an act of need in its rawest form and leagues more honorable than putting them in a box and six feet under. It's the closest you can get to merging yourself with them and turning into one. It's making sure you are not Wasted. I'm not even sure if its about love as much as it is respect. I don't think DU drow ate people often - he did it when he needed connection that he wasn't getting from the people he truly wanted it from.
This concept kinda hot ngl 🫣🫣🫣 (also hi tumblr it’s been a second)

In a move that has raised serious concerns about Israel’s long-term intentions for Gaza, the Israeli military has announced the creation of a new position: the “Chief Gaza Officer.” The role, far from being a temporary wartime measure, is designed to oversee “food, fuel and everyday life infrastructure” in the Gaza Strip for “years and years to come”, according to a senior military source speaking to YNET News. The appointment of a Brigadier General is seen as the establishment of a de facto permanent governor for Gaza, a development that has sparked fears that Israel is planning to reoccupy the coastal enclave indefinitely, potentially completing the ethnic cleansing campaign that began during the Nakba of 1948, when 750,000 Palestinians – three quarters of Mandate Palestine’s population – were expelled from their villages.

Just a reminder to everyone: this is not about the hostages. It has never been about the hostages. They've got all the mileage they can out of that lie (it is not a coincidence that this has come about now, when they're facing more internal pressure than ever to make a deal) and now they're moving onto full-time occupation. This is what a genocide looks like.
I don't think they're gonna come to a consensus
Lmao keep it together, Gale
He saw his reflection in the eye, I don't make up the rules.
In case you want to see Astarion waving to his reflection.
