Spill. What’d you do?
I- I didn't think I did anything. You know how girls can be, man.
Suggestions? Well I myself would take the opportunity to go and get myself an iced strawberry lemonade before going to torture little cubs, something I don’t believe you would do.
Yeah, that's not exactly what I had in mind.
it's time // clay + elizabeth
The strawberry blonde looked at herself in her long floor length mirror. Her room was perfectly organized and not a single item was out of place as her long fingers rand through her loose curls. Her white blouse was outlined with a lace black collar as she patted down her skirt and took a deep breath in, flicking the cigarette she had lit and only inhaled twice out the two story window of her Bellemont home. It was an awful habit, that surprisingly she had picked up at the academy. All of the prestigious students tended to smoke, smoke to celebrate, smoke to grieve, smoke to alleviate stress, there always managed to be a teen with a cigarette dangling from their lips. Spraying perfume the eager red head switched her light switch off and exited her room.
The sun began to fall behind the brick buildings and oversized trees as she made her way towards the end of the hallway taking a deep breath as she wandered down the wooden stairs. Her heels echoing quietly as a small smirk slipped onto her lips at the sight of one incredibly charming Clay Preston. Reaching him, she wrapped her arms around him playfully giving him a small peck on the cheek as usual before falling into the chair next to him. “You seem eager to leave, but I have only one rule. No matter where we go, I’m driving.” Elizabeth grinned pulling her car keys out, “Or we’re at least taking my car, it’s new and I’m slightly obsessed with it.” She toyed standing up and tossing him the keys, “Unless your plan of a date is to the dining hall?” She raised her eyebrow eyeing him with challenge.
Elizabeth entered the common room without Clay noticing her presence, the boy’s full attention on the small, sleek device that seemed to live in his hands. So, he was slightly shocked when a pair of arms wrapped around his body, but he didn’t let it show. Clay soon recognised it to be the one and only Elizabeth Alexander, a girl who he had found himself having the pleasure to slowly become acquainted with. There was no doubt that the girl was beautiful, her face alone was enough to make men stare without even attempting to conceal their gaze. Clay had no doubts that Beth was used to the treatment, however. She seemed like a girl who knew she was gorgeous, and he saw nothing wrong with that.
The soft cushioning of the seat indented slightly at the girl’s weight, although there was not much of it. Clay smiled when she presented her car keys, catching the assortment of metal in his hands as she tossed them to him, a loud noise filling the otherwise quiet common room. “There’s no way I’m going to let you drive.” Clay said, shaking his head slightly. “But we can take your car.” Her challenge caused a smirk to fall on the Briarcliffe boy’s lips, knowing fully well that a date like that would only lead to disappointment on all parties. “How did you know? It was meant to be a surprise, Beth.” Clay replied, continuing the joke that she had begun. He stood up, offering his hand to the girl, expecting her to take it.
It’s still early and you’re already having a good morning it seems. That’s a good way to start the day.
It's the best way to start the day.
That’s always going to cause a smile. So how do you intend to spend your free period?
That, I have not yet decided. Any suggestions?
Hope you didn’t miss me too much.
So, tell me. What’ve you been up to in my absence? Finally score the girl?
Oh, I don't know how I passed the days.
Scored the girl, yes. But I think I lost the game.
