Isaiah 54:10
God, forgive me if I asked you more than I thanked you.
If God told you to wait, WAIT. Don’t worry about what your waiting season looks like to other people. Let people think you’re lazy. Let people think you’re being passive. THEN let people be speechless and give God glory when they see you rise up quickly and do great things because you were obedient and waited on The Lord like He told you to.
Waiting is NOT easy. I think it is harder than doing to be honest. There is passive waiting and their is active waiting. Active waiting is where you spend time with The Lord by talking to Him, listening to Him, serving Him, and reading The Bible. Passive waiting is where you sit and do none of those things and even doubt that God will move Mightily in your life. In the waiting, God wants to see if you’ll still trust Him and still spend time with Him even when you don’t see anything great happening for a long amount of time.
If God told you to wait, WAIT and wait actively!!

So Will I
“Take my bitterness just as you have taken my debt, take my pride and plant in me a heart that loves. Because I’m dying, and I want to choose life so badly, so I will choose You, Lord. I will choose You until I have nothing left, and I am brought back to dust and reunited with You forever more; take this heart, and make it Yours.”
— T.B. LaBerge // Thy Will Be Done (via tblaberge)
She found Jesus and lived happily ever after.
best love story
Ever.
Sometimes I’m Martha in the kitchen. I’m frustrated & bitter. I’m angry. I’m comparing. I’m focused on details, wondering why Jesus & others are not. But I need to always be Mary. I must always be sitting at Jesus’s feet. Listening. Listening. Listening. The details are not my job. Preparation is not the point. Jesus is always in my home. So I must always be sitting with Him, ready to hear every word.
I am here.

I’ve had my heart broken, my hope destroyed, my mind distorted, my worth questioned, and my soul stained. In all of these, Jesus was able to restore. He was able to redeem. He was able to bring to life what was once dead. He was able to make all things new. He is still able. He never changes. If He has done it once, He will continue to do so. The only thing we must do is to allow Him to take control. Jesus reigns in us, He is now in charge, not us. He makes His kingdom alive in us no matter what we have been through, all things are made new when He comes to dwell in us. Allow Him to live in you and you will witness a beautiful come alive.
He who was seated on the throne said,
“I AM making everything new!”
- Revelation 21:5 (New International Version)
pray as much as you ache .
God closes doors for a reason… and sometimes He locks them up and throws away the key. Seriously, trust Him. Do not try to open those doors, they’ve been shut because He’s got bigger and better things in store for you. I’ve been learning so much about this within the past year. I’ve told Him so many times, “Bur Lord… I’m qualified! This door is supposed to be open for me right?!” And He’s like, “Yeah, you are, but this isn’t my plan—wait and be blessed.” Lord, I’m waiting. It’s challenging and I’ve questioned WHY so many times but I’m done with that. You are good and You have great plans! Thank you for Your faithfulness—the best is yet to come.
Repeat after me: God knows what’s the best for me.
If it goes against His Word, it is not His Will.
