"A pleasant nameday to you, friend."
“Thank you Ricard.”
*gives him a small, shining ruby, to add to the impressive diadem on his forehead*
Blinking a bit at the gem, he assumes it’s better if he doesn’t ask how she came to possess it. “Thank you Leila.”
-offers a small box with a present inside- "Happy Birthday, Minwu."
A smile came to the Mage’s face. Even if his mouth were hidden, it’d show in his eyes he was at least. “Why, you didn’t have to get me anything,” he spoke, “But thank you Princess.”
*gives him a bright pink tutu* Happy Birthday!
“Oh, ah thank you.” He’s not entirely sure what the tutu is, but he’ll take it since it was a gift.
((Yes hi I’m here. It’s Minwu’s birthday y’all should pester him.))
If you’re interested in interacting with a new Myth based Hel Lokisdottir, please like or reblog this post and I’ll check you out! While it’s not the main focus, I have an MCU verse available as well.
((It’s past midnight so it’s the 18th here, and just. Today is not a good day for me so if I’m not around or don’t respond to anything, that’s why.))
wildrosematriarch:
A faint smile graced her face when she recognized who spoke. Opening her eyes, Hilda spared a glance towards Minwu. His presence was always welcomed.
“Perhaps,” she admitted.
Hilda focused on a cluster of wild roses across from them. She could almost hear her late mother’s voice and the soft words ‘growing strong’. The princess folded her arms.
“I overheard some of Father’s council discussing the royalty of Kashuan. Notably, they debated on which of the princes will be my suitor. Father…has yet to say anything to me.”
As a princess, Hilda knew it would be expected of her to marry. As her father’s only heir, she knew that she would need heirs of her own when she became queen. Yet, she never really thought about marriage despite being of age.
However, what had been troubling her was her father’s silence on the matter. Had she been foolish to assume he would keep her knowledgeable regarding whom might become her husband? It seemed unlikely.
Listening silently, Minwu couldn’t help the soft chuckle that left him. “My apologies, I understand your frustration.” It just seemed amusing to him, that something so simple was troubling her. “I’m sure your father only has your best interest at heart. Would you like it I spoke with him? Perhaps I can persuade him into talking to you about the matter.” Certainly, if his words didn’t help sway the King, at least he’d tried, yes? “Now, I can’t promise anything, but he does seem to value my counsel.” And if it did work, then she’d be saved the stress of any further worry on the matter.
wyvernblessed:
“Suppose I wouldn’t mind that.” He could not shake the feeling that Minwu was having a laugh at him, even if it was only with those eyes of his. It couldn’t hurt to learn more about the man. And there was likely an amusing story or two that came from being under the princess’ employ. “You’ll have to tell me what it was like, living in Mysidia.”
“Then we have a deal.” The Mage smiled, though it’d likely go unnoticed since his mask was in the way. “Mysidia? Hm yes I can think of a few good stories I have from there.” Adjusting the grip on his staff, glanced to the side before looking back. “So would you like to speak now then?” Not as though Minwu were busy at this moment, he could spare some time.

Clevershaman liked for a starter.
It was rare for Hilda just to escape to the castle’s gardens when things became too stressful. A princess couldn’t hide. Too many eyes, too many duties and responsibilities. Yet, like this moment, she found a chance.
She paced among the roses. Breathing in their welcoming scent. Trying to not think of what troubled her mind lately.
Finally, Hilda settled upon one of the garden’s stone benches. Someone would come looking for her soon. The princess closed her eyes and tried to find solace in the silence around her while it lasted.
Having noticed the Princess’ absence, the Mage had indeed gone looking for her. Mainly to make sure nothing ill had befallen her. However, when he found her in the gardens, a smile came to him from behind his mask. Staying as quiet as he could, so as not to disturb her just yet, he soon took a place beside her on the bench. “Looking to clear your mind?” He finally spoke, leaning back on the bench some, resting his staff against it on the side she wasn’t.
@clevershaman …
How like the man, to take a question and shed a philosophical light upon it. He made no effort to conceal the sidelong glance directed at the sorcerer. “Unflappable as ever. Though I suppose that’s why the princess favored you so. One day I’ll get you to speak up on what made you so damn humble.” The last part bordered on a grumble, accompanied by a shake of the dragoon’s head.
An amused chuckle left Minwu as he shook his head some. “Is it really too hard for you to believe I’ve always been like this?” Of course, he did have past actions he regretted, but they had nothing to do with how humble he was. “Though if you really are so curious about me, we could speak over tea sometime? A little trade of stories? Does that sound like a fair deal to you?”
astrofated:
Amnesia ? Though the description is slight, that’s only the swiftest conclusion to the newcomer’s plight. Relief it was though, that the stranger does not seem to be a hostile presence and he slightly relaxed his stance. ❝ This is not my native land either but I know where I hail from, ❞ he answers in his own native tongue, similar in language but structure slightly distinct. ❝ Seems as though amnesia has taken you - or am I wrong to assume it ? ❞
“Hm, you do? How odd...” Some of the others he’d seen couldn’t remember either. Then again, he hadn’t met many others. “Oh no, you’re correct. At least, it would make the most sense. Others seem to have forgotten things about themselves as well.” So it made the most sense that something was causing it. Though, how the other still seemed to remember made things even more confusing.
❝ Excuse me, are you from around here ? ❞ Thank Thaliak that another life form is ‘pon his planet - though he must be certain to maintain ABSOLUTE vigilance should the other were to reveal as a FOE. Ceasing his walk from a fair distance away from the man clad in white garbs, he lays his perusal onto the features with slightly furrowed brows. ❝ There are some hostile creatures around here - who looked human but dissolves into magical compound. Dare I say that you may not be one of them ? ❞ @clevershaman
Hearing the voice directed at him, the Mage turned in the direction of it, hand holding tightly to his staff should he need it for some reason. “No, I’m not from this land, but I, can’t seem to exactly remember where I am from.” Minwu explained, turning to face the other completely. “I’ve noticed them as well. And no, I’m not one of them. They appear to take the form of actual people though, as I have seen a few in passing.” He wasn’t the best fighter, but he could hold his own against some of them at least. Others he merely avoided the best he could.
“I wonder what you dread.”
Hearing the Dragoon, Minwu paid more attention to him. “Many things, just like most others. Though, all that matters is how you handle such things. I may not enjoy such things, but I’ve taught myself to at least be at peace when they happen.”

“Either way, you go.”
“You’re a work of art.”
“Touch me anywhere.”
“Let your feelings show.”
“I don’t need to be safe.”
“I wonder what you dread.”
“But, did I catch your eye?“
“I don’t want to blame you.”
“Maybe I have grown impatient.”
“Famous for the way I’ve fallen.”
“Open your head and let me in.”
“Can you feel my beating heart?”
“I made mistakes… I want to die.
“Come and stay another moment.”
“I don’t want to know your motive.”
“I never came here for your heart.”
“And I feel like I can never get away.”
“All I know… it’s better where you are.”
“Only thing I know is giving up control.”
“It’s easier than you would ever know.”
“Try to take it from me. This is my throne.”
“Take me for a walk. I’ll go where you are.”
“The left one wants what the right one’s got.”
“Bending and breaking, you’re floating away.”
“I want to break all the rules that I had tonight.”
“See all of me, see everything that I’m made of.”
“Take me for a walk. Kiss me in that alley, baby.”
“I didn’t say goodbye and I didn’t say goodnight.”
“Saw all of me, saw everything that I’m made of…”
“You keep my head unsteady and my hands shaking.”
“Someone said to keep the window cracked, just a bit.”
“Maybe, if you took the blame, I’d have something to show.”
((Sorry for disappearing again eheh. I have a bad habit of doing that. I’m here now though!))
