January 11, 2018. My sister has been through a lot this year. She lives with us for the time being, and it’s been wonderful to get to know her again finally.

January 10, 2018. These mountains are my favorite thing in Utah.
January 9, 2018. The studio is finished.
January 8, 2018. I also love the rain.
January 7, 2018. Just a daily part of my ritual. The train stop.
Jan 6, 2018. Clouds will always hold fascination for me.
January 5, 2018. My daughter’s birthday! My wife’s talented handiwork. Happy Birthday, Avery.
January 4, 2018. Tide pools!
January 3, 2018. Canejo Valley, CA. I miss Thousand Oaks. I miss this place, and my life there. It was truly beautiful.
January 2, 2018. This is nicknamed the “smoker’s car.” My beautiful high speed commuter train is full of sleek new cars, but I’ve found that I prefer these old cars. There’s always one on each train. And there is a place to put my extra bags above my head, I can usually have a full bench to myself, and I for some reason like the whole time travel aspect of it all.
January 1, 2018. Happy New Year’s Day.
December 31, 2018. Happy New Year’s Eve! Let’s make pizza!
December 30, 2018. Interesting detail on the Smithsonians in D.C.
December 29, 2018. This monument is really one of my very favorite things to photograph from afar. So beautiful.
December 28, 2018. I’ve never seen a door that is round like this. And the trim around it is exquisite. The contrast between the dark stained wood and the stone building is also beautiful. Too bad it was locked. I wanted to walk through it.
December 27 2018. It always tastes better out of a bottle.
December 26, 2018. It turns out my son and I share a fascination with trains. I’m not really into naming the models and having toys of them as much as I am into taking pics of them and riding on them, but this just seemed so, “Day after Christmas, back to life” as a picture I had to snap it.
