// selective. this means that while i'm not exclusively mutuals only - i will give mutuals preference when it comes to reply priority. non-mutuals are encouraged to respond to open starters & to send ask memes as ice breakers.
// affiliates & exclusives. while i certainly have those who i write with more than others and will befriend ooc, on this blog i have chosen not to have an affiliates section on my pinned post, and will only do blog wide exclusives in very rare cases. while i may have verse exclusives - those verses are usually written in tandem with the partner and therefore become our collective intellectual property, hence the exclusivity. but otherwise, i'm open to all versions of canon muses including duplicates of muses i play.
// explicit content. i will engage with smut with mutuals only and at times i will fade to black any scenes i feel uncomfortable with - this will be on a case by case basis as i've had some bad experiences with writing smut and can get triggered or anxious by it sometimes. there will likely be reference to sexually explicit storylines, ask memes containing sexual scenes and other mature content - anything deemed explicit ( by me ) will be tagged using the usfw thread tag. i will never post sexually explicit graphics.

//minimalist. this blog is not aesthetic focused, but will instead focus on writing and developing unique and dynamic plots & connections with other writers. most of the time this blog will be iconless or will employ the use of static icons for starters & ask meme replies.
// characterization vs canon portrayal. i do my best to keep the canon essence of my muses intact no matter what scenario i find myself writing for them - however, i reserve the right to portray my character however i see fit. at times this may seem 'out of character' to you, or versus their canon, but that is how i've chosen to play them and i will not be taking notes or criticism on my portrayals. if you feel the need to block or unfollow me because of something my muse does, please protect yourself and your roleplay experience by doing so.
//shipping. i tend to lean towards romantic ships when roleplaying on indie - this is because i like to focus platonic connections to mutual friends who will be around for the long haul - if you would like to plot out and develop platonic connections, feel free to message me - i’m open to all types of connections, i just tend to lean towards shipping when it comes to new mutuals.

alessio got his start on youtube, as a ‘hot guy’, well aware from a young age that his looks were something that he could use to get ahead, he developed a serious on youtube and combined that with his sense of adventure and called it ‘hot guy tries’ where he would go around miami and try new things. as the channel grew, he started to bring people more into his life, which is how he started his series set in the luxury country club he worked for. while he never explicitly said he was a member of the club, and his videos made it clear he was employed by the club, he also never mentioned his very low level, low paying position…and that’s where the trouble started.
in life, alessio was never book smart, best described as a ‘himbo’, he’s the type of person who lets thing pass over his head, because it’s easier to pretend not to understand than to get into the nitty gritty of things. he’s content to be a little air-headed if it means not being hurt.

growing up in a household full of strong woman primed trace for a life of quiet indecision, he's used to being the baby in a house full of sisters, with decisions made for him before he even knows there's one to be had and being spoiled to death. he means well in every situation, and he is trying his best, but when given a choice he will make the wrong one and turn it into a disaster. he cannot be trusted around the big red button that says do not push.
trace is outgoing and flirty by nature, he attracts attention and gives it right back. while he's not opposed to serious relationships, because of the nature of his work he's on the road a lot which leads to a lot of miscommunications and heartbreak with those involved with him.

quinn always has something to say, he talks a lot and loves to share his passions with those around him. as a kid his parents said he could often be found playing alone - as an only child - talking to himself for hours, so it makes sense that he eventually set up a camera and started sharing himself with the world. away from the camera however, he's shy - never extremely comfortable in social situations, he prefers to blend into the background and let others take the lead.
quinn is shy, but is a serial monogamous, he's never been interested in hooking up with strangers and instead is drawn towards people who take up space, loud attention seekers are the type of person who he is attracted to, and often considers himself a 'sidekick' in the life of his partners.

aly comes from a very normal family background, two parents who have been together since college, both with stable incomes who raised three children to be confident, and always supported their endeavors, interests and passions. aly is close with her family, both her older sister lauren, and her brothers, jake and nick, are people she trusts and respects (and looks up to).
the weiss family are upper middle class, with their mother staying home when they were young and returning to her job as a pediatric nurse when the kids moved onto high school, and their father - a local business owner. the weiss' have lived in the same family home since the children were very young, and the home was spacious, with a large backyard and an in-ground pool - making it the go-to hang out spot for aly and her friends for most of her life.
the family has various traditions, most revolving around the holidays, as well as taking an annual family vacation in which the children take turns picking the destination based on a random system they determined many years ago.
shipper. aly is a stubborn and strong willed person, best known for being sensitive and overdramatic, her friends might be overheard calling her crazy, but she just feels things deeply and struggles to keep those feelings and emotions under control. because of this she's often prone to overreaction, and taking things a bit too far. despite this, aly is generous to those who know her, always willing to help out a friend in need, and a good time to be around for the most part.
aly is a tough girl, and doesn't like to show off her vulnerable side, because of this, she struggles to find a balance between her cool girl persona and the sensitive person she really is. this can often cause issues when it comes to close relationships because she has trouble opening up to others in an honest way. when upset, she does tend to cause a seen and push those closest to her away. she thrives in relationships with other people who are strong-willed and stubborn, forcing her to confront her flaws and stop her from running away when things get tough. she does not get on well with those who's personalities are weak, who don't know how to stand up for themselves or deal with conflict.
au. currently aly is the frontwoman of a pop-punk band that has seen some online success, they do tour - usually during the summer events to festivals and venues around the country, it's not like they're famous, but getting to do what they love on the side is a huge deal to aly and her bandmates. when she's not performing, aly runs a local youth theatre program, she acts as the program director and coordinator, as well as just about everything else and keeps busy doing a job she's very passionate about.

sawyer grew up around the entertainment industry but never really considered joining it as a performer. he was always too sensitive, and introverted enough to keep him off the stage. it was only into college that he realized he loved performing, and that he was good at it, visualizing a role, becoming in, expressing everything that he could never do through a performance - acting helped him realize who he was, and who he could be.
despite finding his passion in acting, he's still quite an introverted person, doesn't like to be the center of attention in a room full of people if he's not playing a role. in relationships he seeks out emotional volatility, finding comfort in the roller-coaster that type of connection brings, he is clingy, jealous, and falls fast and hard.

anderson's parents are both regarded and award-winning broadway producers, both of them having had a hand in some of the most profitable and well-known shows ever to cross a new york broadway stage. anderson has been performing since he was a child, but was always attracted to producing and directing. while he is very proud of his linage, behind closed doors his parents were always very neglectful of their only child, much more focused on their work than raising him. him taking a job at a school across the country from his family is a way for him to establish himself as a voice in the industry and develop his own production style without their influence.
