O' CAPTAIN MY CAPTAIN!!!!
🦊⚓
My fanart for Curse of Dreadbear! Oh man, what a cool DLC! I can’t wait for more on the 29th!
Oh my god this looks amazing!!!!!!!
I love Grim Foxy w all my heart he big
*sobs uncontrollably*
This is my favourite edition to FNAF ever....I'm so glad they've included this!!!
Grim Foxy
As much as I wish his name was Jack-O-Foxy (because I would like at least some consistency in these games hahahaha), his official name is Grim Foxy.
When I heard that, it immediately made me think of the Grim Reaper, especially with his massive hook and the fact that he shows up when you die in a mini-game.
Thoughts?
The Foxy in the death screen (I call him Jack O’ Foxy because consistency) owns my heart. I don’t know why I love him I just do ~K
Ik he's called Grim Foxy but hE'S FINALLY PART OF THE JACK-O-FAMILY!!!
I love he!!!
FNaF Fandom, you need to stop fucking hating on every single game Scott creates.
Why? Because he is trying to make us happy, he is trying to have fun and he is making these “silly” games to give us a break and have time to relax from the lore standpoint.
He loves making these games, so grow up and stop hating over “The Curse of Dreadbear” or “FNaF 57″ because they are JUST games that a man is making, and they make him happy!
If you really wanna be a loyal fan, stop nitpicking his jokes and gags and his attempts to bring joy.
He’s an amazing person, he has donated for so many people, helped so many people, and he is currently helping poor Skylar out.
Not to mention that so many of us love the games, like me, I am depressed and the only things that really bring me joy is the surprises and gags in these 8-bit animatronic games.
Seriously guys? You have so many horrible people to hate on, and you hate on the only good person in fandoms? Not cool.
People are hating on The Curse of Dreadbear already? It's quickly becoming my favourite addition to the series!!!! And as someone said earlier: I too love his sillier games, or the ones that are self-aware and a little memeish. It feels personal, like a shared inside joke, and I think it shows he understands the majority of his fan base really well. Hopefully he doesn't get too discouraged by the haters - his games are quirky and awesome, and I'd hate for him to stop making them.
WilloWhisper = Will o' the Wisp
So, one thing I've noticed with the new FNAF VR DLC is that the name on the camera - WilloWhisper - sounds similar to "Will o' the Wisp".
If you don't know what Will o' the Wisp is, wiki describes them as "an atmospheric ghost light seen by travellers at night". They originate in English and European folklore, and have also been known by names such as "hinkypunk" (mentioned in Harry Potter), and Jack-o-Lantern. They were present in the Pixar movie Brave as little blue fireballs that led Merida to her destiny.
While there is a scientific explanation for their literal presence (search SciShow's episode about them on YouTube), Will o' the Wisp can also be a metaphor, "describing", wiki continues, "a hope or goal that leads one on but is impossible to reach, or something one finds sinister and confounding".
This interests me in two ways.
1) the fact that Will o' the Wisps are also known as Jack-O-Lanterns, and we have the Jack-O-Animatronics present in the game (they also disappear when light is shone on them in one of the new mini-games for the DLC that spoofs the traditional FNAF set-up)
2) the metaphorical interpretations works in two ways for the series:
a) it represents the unattainable goal of William Afton and (insert good guy of your choice here, such as Golden Freddy, the Vengeful spirit, or Henry) defeating one another forever
b) it also represents us as theorists never being able to solve the series, especially when we look at is as a "goal that leads one on but is impossible to reach"
I'm not saying this means anything theory-wise, but it's cool to think about it in this way. Hopefully someone else does too :)
