Oh, he’s done it now and she’s visibly cracked  the pencil in her hand  "Old?" "Stale?"

The pencil is gone and instead she is wielding a pallette knife. 

"My creativity has no end, but what does time have? Just your hands.”

He couldn't help but let a smug grin pull at his lips. It's not every day he can get her to crack a pencil.

Of course, that simply means she's about to open a can of whoop-ass on him.

Ah well.

      "My dear, you underestimate me, just as you always do."

He stepped forward and wrapped his hand firmly around the blade, not caring if it cut into his hand. "|Time| does a great many things to those who are creative and their tools." In his hand, the blade rusted as he accelerated its life. The handle corroded and began to crumble, began to deteriorate. "You cannot fix what |time| destroys."

         Perhaps today one of us shall die?"

"Why, that’s certainly  c r e a t i v e ! But I’m sure I can think of something more creative than that! Like several  p e n c i l s  poking through your eyes or skull!”

      "The same constant tricks get old and stale. Where's the creativity if you keep using it until it's run into the ground?"
