Being in a relationship

Before I thought being in a relationship would be all about me but I was wrong. It changed me. Love as I usually say is unconditional ; sacrificial ; a choice ; it’s a decision. I’m not perfect. There are times that I just want to quit & just let go but this is where real love kicks in. You will never give up on someone you love. NEVER. Even if you think you had enough.

Another thing I’ve learned this past year while being in a relationship is that you have to learn to adapt. You can’t put him on a mold. Like why is he not sweet or why it feels like he doesn’t care. Actually it’s just your feeling. He really cares & love you, he might not be the showy type. Please don’t let your insecurities kick in. At the end of the day it doesn’t help. Learn to let yourselves grow with each other & alone. Communication is the key. I admit that even though I’m talkative but when it comes to my emotions I’m not that much of a teller especially with him. That’s the reason why he usually misunderstands me. Learn to say it out even though it really feels awkward or uncomfortable. You’re both different. May that difference bring you closer.

Another thing I’ve learned, distance will never be a problem as long as both of you wants to make the relationship work. There may be some sleepless nights, tired mornings but its all worth it. Planning the future together would be one option to forget the distance. Especially the giddiness of knowing you’ll meet again soon.

Being cold never solves any problem & it always creates the problem. There are times that I drew myself away from him because I let my insecurities kick in or I was really hurt. He, being the guy, is puzzled. One thing goes through his mind would probably be “what did I do again?” Never ever let your feelings control the best of you.

Plus learn to give and take. It will never be about you. It’s about the other person.

At the end of the day what matters most is that you have each other.
