self harm does not have to be physical, nor does it have to be intentional.
self harm can sometimes include:
numbing by bingeing netflix or video games
working for hours upon hours with no mental breaks
playing a sad song on repeat
purposely preventing yourself from talking about your feelings
oversleeping
staying up extremely late
ignoring mental issues rather than addressing them
saying “yes” when you want to say “no”
being quiet when you want to speak
looking through old pictures, videos, or journal entries that remind you of someone who makes you sad
stalking exes on facebook or instagram
letting others’ opinions dictate your actions
try to be more aware of your unconscious actions so that you can change any bad or self-harming habits you may have. it’s worth it to take care of yourself.
