Even with Dread shifting his focus, Dusty hates the direction he’d gone. He knows and remembers all too well the effect rifts had on him, and had on other people - but knowing it’d been done to someone he cared deeply for hits him in the chest harder than a kick to the gut. He can only assist Cloud back to his home, taking up residence for the foreseeable future so that he can stick around and tend to his injuries and health.  He was loyal, and he loved him, even if he was scared to say so - but Dusty plans to stick by his side until the other’s had more than enough rest and recuperation.
