They had just gotten out of school; Marco was pretty sure it wasn’t going to rain but he guessed wrong. Not only was it raining and they had no umbrella they missed the bus to get home. They were both freezing cold considering the situation they were in. Now they were just waiting for Mrs. Diaz to pick them up; which would be a while.

As they were waiting for his mother, Marco had noticed Star shivering. “U-um.” Without thinking he took off his jacket and threw it over her leaving himself with a t-shirt.

"Thanks Star. Hey I was wondering, do you guys on Mewni show the same kind of affection as people on Earth do?

"That depends! What exactly do you do here?"

"Well usually couples will hold hands or kiss each other or wrap one of their arms over the other’s shoulder. Stuff like that." He shrugged.

"Oh yeah, we do that stuff on Mewni!" Star grinned and nodded. "Don’t they hug too?"

"Yeah that too."

"Okay then! Which one should we do first?"

He shrugged “Whatever one you want.” He looked out the window. “Oh hey it finally stopped raining!”

Star thought for a second. “Hm… it doesn’t matter to me though!” She glanced out the window and blinked. “Wow, it did!”

"Wanna go outside for a bit? We could hold hands." He suggested.

Star nodded. "Sure! Let's go!" She grabbed Marco's hand and ran outside.

He was still a little embarrassed at the fact he had hidden his feelings for so long. He rubbed his arm nervously looking away from Star. “Y-yea.”

Star grinned even more to the point where there were basically stars in her eyes now. “That’s awesome!”

"Sooo, now what do we do?"

"I dunno! Does this mean we’re dating or something now?"

He shrugged “I guess so. If so then you’d end up being my first girlfriend.”

Star tilted her head slightly and raised her brows. "Really? I mean, you're not my first boyfriend but you'd probably be my first awesome boyfriend!"

Star blinked before shrugging and holding the tubes anyways, even if she was completely confused as to what the taller blonde was doing.

"Uh, yeah, sure! Could you tell me what you’re doing though?"

"Science," Honey adjusted her glasses before dropping the formality and looking back at the girl.

"An experiment just came into my mind and I need to do it before it goes again!”

He rolled his eyes standing up from his bed feeling a little better. “Well I’m not gonna give you any more clues so looks like you’re gonna have to figure this out yourself.” He said as he started walking out the room.

Star groaned again and ran after him. “Marco, wait! Just tell meeeee!”

He crossed arms thinking for a second then said, “Alright Star, I’ll tell you who it is if you tell me who yours is. Deal?”

Star made a quiet irritated noise and looked away, before sighing loudly. “Fiiiiiiiine. But you can’t laugh at me or anything!”

"Alright I promise I won’t laugh."

Star nodded and took a deep breath before speaking again. “Okay… I think I like you!” She closed her eyes and as she spoke, too afraid of seeing Marco’s reaction.

His eyes went wide hearing what she had said. He suddenly burst into laughter.

Star frowned and opened her eyes to look at him. “You said you wouldn’t laugh! Why are you laughing?!”

He calmed himself down taking a deep breath. “Sorry Star I’m not laughing at you, I’m laughing at myself for being an idiot.”

Star blinked and stopped frowning. “Wait… what?”

He sighed. “That girl I was telling you about that I have feeling for was actually you Star. I was worried that if I told you that I liked you it’d ruin our friendship. That’s why I was laughing Star; not because of you.”

Star blinked for a few seconds before grinning. "Really?!"
