Ouch. What in the hell is this guy made of? Scourge barely has time to wince from his hands hitting the forearm before Prime goes on the offensive, catching the hedgehog offguard with yet another surprise. He's only just processed that the speed advantage isn't as drastic as he initially thought when skull collides with skull and sends him flying.

Rocketing towards the waiting Prime, the speedster coils up again into a ball and flexes razor-sharp quills, turning themself into an omni-directional buzzsaw as they ready for the spike. Even if this isn't enough to damage the hand, Scourge is ready when the blow shoots him back down into the earth as he quickly begins tunneling through the broken pavement. Quills digging through tightly packed earth like it was loose snow, the hedgehog pivots slightly to make a vertical U-turn and pops out onto the road.

With a few annoyed brushes, the emerald menace dusts off their shoulders before locking their gaze back on his opponent. "What, that your gimmick, longjohns? TV lingo or something?"

Scourge blurs for a split-second, one of the scattered canisters now in hand. "In that case pal, consider your run cancelled."

A white glove squeezes, shattering the glass and its contents alike as a purple sphere briefly shimmers around the hedgehog. The barest translucent hint of the energy surrounding him remains almost visible as he springs up, clearing a massive height to try and sock his opponent in the face...

...or rather, hope that attempted punch from the speed clone is a serviceable distraction while he aims a roundhouse at the back of Prime's head.

Whether Prime noticed the hedgehog curling up or not didn't matter, as he still strikes regardless, only the slightest wince crossing his features as sent his palm straight into the awaiting buzzsaw to send it into the Earth; hand being given a slight shake-off afterward.

Not visibly damaged, but certainly stinging.

Barely paying the wannabe royal any notice as they tunneled back out and wisecracked back at him, only looking up from his own hand at the sound of glass shattering- a brow raising at the sight of the energy coating the anti-mobian, perfectly visible to the kryptonian's eyes, but only vaguely familiar... he hadn't read Archie in a while.

Him, of course, not being given enough time before an attack is launched his way, the same unimpressed look on his face as he lifted a hand to casually catch the oncoming punch...

... only to blink as the fist, and the hedgehog, disappeared

Realization of the classic speedster blunder he'd just fallen for hitting him too late to do anything more than see the attack coming behind him, unable to stop it before he heard his own skull rattle in his head from the kick that was delivered, sending him crashing down to the ground, practically skipping across the pavement.

Having to stop himself by plunging a fist into the street, dragging a sizeable wound in the road before it worked... the super boy letting out an exasperated growl as, facing away, his eyes began to glow.

"Buddy, you've been canceled. For almost a decade."

Words are chased by the sudden flash of crimson, twin beams energy blasting from the kryptonian's eyes- an attack aimed not at Scourge, but at street he was clung to, drawing an outline across a grand stretch of it in front of him, before he twisted his hand inside and gripped.

Flipping around, back towards the hedgehog, and flipping the entire section of the street with him, coming first into the air and just as quickly snapping back down like a bear trap of earth & asphalt.

Crashing down with so much force that, whether it hit the villain or not, the entire chunk would shatter into an explosion of pieces.

Prime's super-perception slowing the scene down for him, allowing him to see the debris stop in the air. as he took a breath that swallowed the frozen air around him like a black hole, puffing up his chest, before unleashing a hurricane exhale that would turn the smashed rubble into a bullet hell aimed entirely in edge-hog's direction.

Kit's gaze stayed at roughly eye level for a few moments, before blinking with a curious flick of her tail as her gaze flicked down to where Blaze actually stood. She wasn't too off-put by the sight of a notably shorter individual (she was actually on the shorter end for her species), so all it did was make her awkwardly laugh as she looked down to the feline-shaped shuttle.

"The propulsion system took a good hit on the way down, so we'd need some help pushing her. The repair systems can't activate on water and, well.." Kit's statement trailed off, knowing she didn't have to exactly tell a native about the sheer vastness of the waters she saw. Kaboodle grumbled, walking over to the duo and giving Blaze a scrutinizing look before his arms extended to loop around Kit's shoulders; hoisting himself onto her back to get settled now whilst Kit began to slide nearer the back.

"Just point the way and I can help push." Kit added, smiling now as her tail curled mischievously behind her. "I don't want to be too indebted to our rescuer, after all."

They were an odd pair, actually standing there in front of them; a ship, a construct, and the equipment she was wearing all certainly marked them as being not from around here, and would normally be cause of great suspicion, considering the Sol Dimension's past threats.

As they were, however, they seemed the farthest thing from dangerous. There would be little point in interrogating them here.

Instead, at the question of the way, the princess' eyes turn skyward- narrowing her gaze at the current position of the sun, before looking to the west, gesturing. "That is the direction we need to go."

"And, please- there are no debts to me when it comes to those in truest need. Not within the borders of my kingdom, least of all."

The mention of this world being 'her' kingdom was said casually, as a given, even if she was sure these two were strangers to it. Better that they learn that now, even if she didn't want to reveal her hand fully.

Blaze is quick to follow the other's lead to the back, sliding down to where her feet could meet the water, looking up to the other, waiting for her to also get into her desired position to move the floating ship. "Since you're assisting, I'll take it slow. Don't want you falling off."

The slight tease came accompanied by a smirk, as she gripped the sides and plunged her legs in the water; something that might've seemed ill-advised for her previously shown pyromancy, but it quickly became clear that wouldn't be a problem as, instead of producing fire from her heels, the royal cat's legs simply began to kick.

Accelerating into a white blur against the water as she made herself into a propeller, the ship being forced into forward motion.

"Any landing you can walk away from, right?"

The sentiment is said as she stood on the shuttle, which was currently deploying floaties to not sink in the very ocean-heavy world they'd found themselves in. Really, Kit wasn't a fan of being seen atop her ship from the word 'go' but, apparently, this world was very good at detecting people that didn't belong. At the very least, Blaze was. Something that was proven when, not even a minute since they'd crashed, Kaboodle was having a fit in the background about an incoming bogie.

"Say, uh, you wouldn't happen to have land around here, would you?" Kit asked, chuckling nervously as she glanced down at the water and back up. She wasn't sure if there were any drowning mechanics in this world and she did not want to test that firsthand. "Because the ship can't start its repairs until it's grounded."

"We were just, uh, testing out our new flying machine!" Kaboodle hopelessly tried to reason, even as Kit looked like even she was sure their cover wasn't really going to be maintained in this world whatsoever with Blaze already staring at them.

Of all the things Sol's Princess might have expected to find after her people reported something falling from the sky, this didn't seem to be it; amber eyes flitting between the ship, the talking orb, and the fellow feline as they spoke, still hovering atop gouts of flame.

They certainly didn't look like they'd be from her world, but they also didn't strike her as agents of Eggman or his descendant...

Regardless, they needed help.

"Well, 'near here' is somewhat relative, but I can assist you in getting your craft to Eventide. It is close enough." She answers, finally landing atop the 'flying machine' herself... standing much shorter than the cyber-cat now that she wasn't flying. "Do you simply need a guide, or does your vessel need physical assistance getting there?"

I do want to write more of Clark doing his actual job of investigative reporting, even if it's in the service of eventual heroics.

Scourge was no stranger to interdimensional travel, or visitors from other worlds. Under most circumstances, he would have tried to start with a warning, but this particular arrival had made the mistake of interrupting what should have been a routine smash and grab for a few anarchy drives. So it was straight to fisticuffs instead....

"Real funny, pajama boy. Don't know who you are, but if you think you can bust into my zone, playin' Captain Rescue and tryin' to order the king around, oh boy, do you got another thing comin'...." The hedgehog snarls, heels grinding into the earth as they bring themselves into a combat stance. Truth be told, the fact that this guy was shrugging off a hit that hard already had him on edge, and the degree of familiarity that insult implied was disorienting but showing weakness wasn't an option. The few Moebians who were still in the area were already clearing out of the area, what looked to be a small commercial district in a run-down modern town built to accommodate three foot something furries. Before the battle had even begun, it had already looked like a hurricane had been through here thanks to Prime's diminutive opponent, with an overturned truck spilling out glowing canisters containing brightly colored crystals.

There's another emerald smear across the already ruined street as the speedster rushes at the caped outsider, assuming that the speed advantage remains firmly his. Bounding up in a spin dash, Scourge uncurls in mid-air with fingers interlocking as he tries to bring a double-hammer fist down on his guest's crown, trying to keep the superboy grounded.

These comics were never quite as appealing to him as his good ol' capeshit, least of all back when Sonic the Edgehog was all over the covers... but, he wouldn't pretend he didn't still have a dedicated pile back home. There was enough cool stuff in there.

Even if he hadn't, though, it'd be impossible for him to learn the main gimmick hedgehogs have here- they've gotta go fast.

Hence Prime being all too ready when he burst to speed this time around, his senses sharpening and bringing time around him to a total crawl; Scourge still moving pretty quick even at this perception, but not so fast that he couldn't see the rat's plan before it hit him.

By the time the downward spike was coming down, Scourge would find his fists landing against an arm readied to guard. An arm like steel.

The Kryptonian having not budged an inch.

"Your funeral, your highness." Superboy snarked, smacking the hedgehog's out of the way before launching up through the air to deliver a vicious headbutt straight to the other's face, mirroring Scourge's own strategy by aiming to keep him airborne.

Knowing it'd give him an advantage that he could press, rocketing past the trajectory of the impact to meet the rodent at the pass, arm readily reeling backward. "Welcome to Prime Time, bastich!"

With his catchphrase dropped, he'd strike out, aiming to slap the hedgehog right back down to Earth, like a furry volleyball.

Hoping to deal with this insult quickly.

INBOX PROMPTS - Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3 Starters

At first, he couldn't figure out why that damned psychic had pulled him into this world; sure, it didn't exactly seem like a 'nice' place, but some casual dystopia & anarchy were hardly something he'd consider torturous. Not for someone reading his brain like a book.

It was something eating at him, as he rocketed off towards the nearest chaos his super-hearing could pick up on, rushing to be Superman...

... it was only after he'd asserted himself into the disastrous situation that he'd get his first sight at some of the world's rather familiarly designed inhabitants- something that left him blinking down at them long enough to be taken off-guard by the green blur hitting him.

'Anyone else would've broken something doing that', he'd been saying to himself, as he was dusting the rubble off of his suit.

The response having made his brows furrow with a realization even before he looked up to meet who it was coming from, his blue eyes locking with the leather-wearing hedgehog's as it finally hit him.

"Oh, you're real fraggin' funny, Manchester..."

He was going to kill that force ghost after he gets back.

"Sure you are, palette swap." The superboy spat back as he floated back off the ground, an immediate animosity settling over him; maybe it was less for the hedgehog and more for the person drawing a comparison between them, but only one of those two was in front of him. "Doesn't matter, because whatever you are? You're not me.

So, I'd suggest giving up on all of this-" He gestures around him, still not quite sure what he'd butted in on. "- because it's not happening."

An unfortunate caveat of interacting with Superboy Prime is the fact that, if your muse is from a comic book, or at least has one?

He probably has at least some nerdy meta knowledge on them.

It's something where the only real limiting factor is his level of interest during the time he's chilling back home in the "real" world, and while he is working on his habit of dehumanizing people for being "fictional", he's such a nerd that he has trouble not just saying things about it.

It's something I need people aware of before engaging with him because I'm well aware it can be obnoxious (purposefully so).

The sarcastic response was accompanied by a small gust of super breath, direct not so much at Klarion as it was to put out the small flames and clear the debris from the 'disagreement', before the kryptonian would float down to the ground.

Hands on his hips, giving the whole scene a rather bored look, before finally returning his gaze to the other's, expectantly.

"You're telling me that was just you being annoyed? Not some magical rival? Or a demon in disguise? Or a deal gone wrong? Nothing?" Prime questioned, tone making it extremely obvious the so-called superhero was actually hoping for something more convoluted.

So, breaking kayfabe a bit: An important difference between my Superboy Prime and Superman muses is that Prime is, by his very nature as a living meta commentary about comics, very much compliant to the comics. He exists in the current continuity, and will be somewhat beholden to the events happening. It's his thing.

Of course, he has the full capability to escape that reality as he sees fit, so it hardly does anything to restrict his interactions.

My Superman, meanwhile, isn't canon-compliant in the slightest and I don't consider him to be of any one specific continuity- he's more or less my personal platonic ideal of Superman, taking inspiration from any adaptation or era I like without having any specific history.

My primary inspirations behind my portrayal are:

The DCAU (Superman TAS, Justice League, JLU).

My Adventures with Superman.

Smallville.

Superman (2025).

Various animated films (ex. Vs the Elite).

From there, I take what I like from the comics to fill the gaps.

I generally treat him as being "as strong as the narrative demands", as is the traditional use for him. I also tend to form-fit his personal narrative (Krypton, Smallville, Metropolis) to whoever I'm interacting with rather than rectifying the whole of DC with them, preferring a shared universe over multiverse stuff where it's possible to do so.
