Being educated does not mean knowing strange words or reading ancient and difficult literature or enjoying poetry and writing verse and other such accomplishments which are of no practical use in this world. These accomplishments do give much pleasure to the human mind, and they have their own values, but they are not to be esteemed and worshiped as much as the usual run of scholars have tried to make them out to beâŚ. Therefore, this kind of learning without real use should be left for another day, and oneâs best efforts should be given to an education that is relevant to everyday use.
