Aromantic dazai that feels the need to live a perfect fairy tale story, but who cannot see himself living happily with a woman, so he hopes that he could be able to die happily with one instead.
Dazai that sees this as another thing wrong with himself, thinking that he lost all emotion and the capacity to love. Who thinks his unwillingness to live the “picture book happy ending” even if he could is a sign that he doesn’t want a happy end at all.
Dazai being at work one day and realising that he DOES care for people. He cares for the agency. But he still cannot fall in love no matter how beautiful a woman is. So he must still be broken.
