CANONICAL UNDERFELL INFO

Hello everyone! I am coming here to finally make a post on my Tumblr about the Canon Underfell doc I made in 2023. This post on Underfella's page had garnered some good attention, but I had started to realize a lot of people don't know that I am the one who actually made this doc! So, in thought of that, I just reformatted it and decided to post it. What better place to post than Tumblr as well? I always find the best Sans information on here... so I am attempting to add to that. The doc includes all of the current canon information shared about Underfell. It has been suggested by Underfella here if you would just like any extra validity of the doc. LINK TO CANON UNDERFELL INFORMATION DOC I am going to create a rentry for it at some point, and I will update this post once I am done with that! For now, please read this and enjoy. Underfell has been my favorite AU since I joined the community in 2021, so I hold this doc very near and dear to my heart. If there is anything anyone feels like should be added then just feel free to email me or leave a comment!

Nightmare

The guardian of all negative emotions loves reading anything and everything Dream manages to bring from the nearby village, though they secretly enjoy their sibling’s poems and short stories even more. You’ll often find him in the tree’s shadow, always guarding its apples despite seeming at ease.

Dream

The guardian of all positive emotions loves going to the nearby village to look for more books and poems for their sibling. From those stories, they enjoy writing poems and retellings to share with them. You’ll often find them at the outskirts of the village playing withe people and talking, always close enough to the tree to keep it in sight.

Nightmare (Corrupted)

Oh, the sibling consumed by the putrid fruits of the tree they once guarded… their form dissolved by the overwhelming corrosive energy that once healed both mind and body through its fruits. They spent millennia trying to regain even a fragment of a sense of self, raging against the multiverse and all its inhabitants.

Dream (Stone)

The sibling who spent all their time in stasis, conscious and aware of what their sibling had become, of all their rage, sadness, and despair. Now the host of the only pure fruit of the tree they once guarded, which empowers and encourages them, whispering that maybe there is still a way to bring their sibling back. They will find that way, no matter what.

He had no name.

Nor did his world.

He was a rough. A sketch. An attempt.

A failed one.

And so was his world.

His creator gave them up, again. After tries and tries, he grew tired of them. Again.

One by one, the will to draw not succeeding became a chore.

And he watched, powerless as he was thrown away, screams and pleading silent under paper.

He was in a prison.

His unfinished home.

Either emotioneless or giving up on their fates, his companions were already lost in deep numbness, while he stood in denial.

They were now forgotten doodles.

Unappreciated concept sketches.

No matter his attempts to make this blank world a better place…

He was the only one who had developped feelings.

He never got any answer.

He was alone.

Is ‘his story’ cancelled?

Up to this day, I’m not sure myself. I love Ink with all my heart, but he is a vivid interest that goes back to 2016, and because of my growth and the changes in my life, my interests have shifted to something else. A comic is a lot of work. I’m learning that much myself since I’m focusing on my professional project. The prospect of working on His Story is no longer appealing to me, unfortunately. :(

So far, everything that has happened in the released parts of His Story has been the most important. Ink is an abandoned project who managed to pull himself out of his situation to turn himself into this grand, known figure of protection and creation, and all this journey comes with its consequences and traumas. He is an insecure, self-centered character with abandonment issues who has a hard time trusting his emotions. He is a very paradoxical but endearing spin off of the whole Multiverse fandom of Undertale, and thinking of it, I wonder if it truly needs more to it.

It’s also only a backstory. Most of what Ink is revolves around what we make him live through our different stories, and that’s why I love what the fandom has done with him. He keeps on living and experiencing things :-D

I might shorten the story and make a conclusion, so I don’t leave a bittersweet unfinished project behind me! <3 I will gladly keep talking, drawing and reblogging art or content of him. He’s been a big part of my life and he’s still the little miracle I cherish.
