I got my first real clown doll today! I havenât named him yet, but heâs from a Mardi Gras celebration set and he came with a little sash that said âNew Orleansâ! Iâm so happy with the look and texture, I know the picture isnât great, Iâm new to the community and to taking good pictures, but I just wanted to share!
update: his name is sir bungo!!

Taina the Clown... on TikTok!
magic girl anime but intead of turning into magical girls they turn into clowns
Hello! Im kinda new to this community and just kinda wanted some help around these parts slsks. Ive been interested in and have loved clowns for so long, and when i found this community i was so happy!!! are there any tips to new people of this community you would give out or share? if not, all is swell!!
Iâm not sure what you mean by community. Iâm going to assume you mean the small part of tumblr who are clown enthusiasts. Or clown enthusiasts in general.
For that Iâd just say:
To find more content, look through clowncore tag.
When making your own clown posts, the main tags to use are clowncore, clownblr, and clowns.
Donât repost clown pictures that are from other users without asking. They might just be pictures of clown dolls from some point of view, but some clown blogs are amateur photographers and take what they do seriously.
When interacting with other users, just be really nice and positive!
If you wanna learn more about clowns and their art, you can always look it up! There are surprisingly many resources on it. And if you find something interesting, you can post it on tumblr and share it with other clown enthusiasts!
Do you like scary clowns? Great! Me too!! But thatâs not the main focus of clown ethusiasts, so try not to post a buncha scary killer clowns in clown tags. Itâs ok to talk about them on your clown blog of course!
Just be silly and funny and have fun.
For clown collectors, which is what I mostly do, hereâs some little advice for that.
When looking for clowns donât always rely on sites like Etsy, EBay, etc. You might end up spending than your have to. GO TO THRIFT STORES. Just because a clown is 5 dollars doesnât mean itâs not a good clown!! Antique shops are another good place.
When taking pictures of your clown, try to make them aesthetically pleasing. It doesnât have to be perfect and have filters. Lighting and angles are important.
Be curteous when talking about other peopleâs clowns. Clown collectors can be sensitive about them, and donât always like when people say theyâre ugly or scary. Do you wanna be silly about someoneâs clown? Make sure theyâre ok with their clown being insulted first, for instance I have clowns where I like to make fun of them (like Snozel).
Researching your clown is the best thing you can do. You might have interesting valuable one who knows!!
Look up how to properly clean your clown before doing it.
When naming your clowns, just have fun!!

As a fan of both clowns and Sanrio, I was so happy to discover that there is in fact a Sanrio clown character! I canât seem to find much information about them, unfortunately, but they are so cute. Their name is ăăšă (Piero), meaning clown. Sorry if everyone already knows this, just wanted to feature it on my blog.

Little Miss
Little Miss
Her name is Little Miss, because sheâs little, Mischievous. Her face says âI havenât done a thing wrong ever!,â in an obvious lie. Little Miss has a middle aged male clownâs haircut, and a dress. Why? Because Little Miss doesnât care, gender doesnât apply to her. She can be whatever she wants, and no one can stop her. This clown is meant to spin her head around while Send In The Clowns plays. Unfortunately though, Little Miss is a bit broken, so her music box head spinning mechanic doesnât work as well anymore. Poor Little Miss. She doesnât care though, because sheâs always up to something, and being broken ainât gonna stop her!

This is my personal Spotify playlist that reminds me of clowns.
It is almost nothing but upbeat Jack Stauber music except; The Sign by Ace of Base, Genius of Love by Tom Tom Club, One Week by Barenaked Ladies, and a cover of Mama Mia. If thereâs anymore songs that sounds like the music in this playlist, let me know so I can add it!!
"hes clown too do you know him?" what you think we all piled out of the same car? graduated from the same college? bozo'd around in the same circus? just because were both clowns doesnt mean we already know eachother smh
ok so maybe i pied him in the face a few times but the point is,
I got my first real clown doll today! I havenât named him yet, but heâs from a Mardi Gras celebration set and he came with a little sash that said âNew Orleansâ! Iâm so happy with the look and texture, I know the picture isnât great, Iâm new to the community and to taking good pictures, but I just wanted to share!
Rosé the Clown
Charmer the Clown
A strange clown binded by fishing line and other string that was found in a Goodwill and given to me for my birthday. I plan to review this one once I untie them.
I love this tag cause my superstitious sister who found and gave me this clown ALSO thinks itâs cursed or some kind of binding spell. I guess weâll find out!
Unbound the Clown
(A name has not yet been chosen)
Last night was The Great Unbinding. I gathered friends together late at night, as we recorded a video of my sister, her friend, and I, untying this clown. The video needs to be edited and shortened drastically before I can post it because it took a total of 50 minutes to untie this clown. The string around this clown was so tight and thick, hard to cut even with kitchen scissors. Three different strings were used to tie this clown. We took turns passing him between the three of us to saw the different strings off. As frustrating as it was, we had a lot of fun doing it! Like a big spooky Unbinding party! Hereâs a picture of a Safeway bag filled with the string.
Itâs clear now though, based on how hard it was to remove all this string, that whoever tied this clown up did not want it to be untied. I do not know why. My original theory is that the clown was broken underneath, and the string was to keep him from falling apart. My sisterâs theory was that there was some sort of cursed object underneath, or that it was a âbinding spellâ but we were both disappointed to find nothing but a naked clown underneath...
To say the least, he seems like a normal clown underneath all the bindings. A foam torso, posable arms, ceramic hands and feet. Thatâs all we found. If you look at this in a superstitious point of view, perhaps it looks ordinary underneath all the bindings, but once unbound thatâs when bad things slowly happen. But a night has passed and nothing happened so far. Iâm going to take a skeptical stance on this until something significant does happen. Also Iâd like to make a quick correction: this clown was not found in a Goodwill, but in a store called âBargain Basement,â a large warehouse thrift store. My sister said there was many dolls, and this one was buried under a big pile of dolls. Also one of the only clowns.
But now for the moment youâve all been waiting for, a picture of the clown unbound. Hereâs him next to his spooky big brother, Boo Boo Junior.
As for the quality of the clown: heâs alright. Heâs definitely interesting, but out of the context of his binding, heâs a pretty mediocre clown. His paint is pretty worn, but his colors are pretty cute. I feel bad for him that he was treated as such, so I wish to make him some clothes to put on his back, so thatâs heâs proper and not so cold. Unfortunately I donât know how to sew, so Iâll have to either figure out how to make clown clothes, or contact someone who knows. If anyone can help me with that, let me know! As for now he is a naked, and possibly cursed, mediocre clown.
