You were literally living the dream.
You’d managed to move from your hometown to one of the most well known cities in the world, have started to pursue the career you’ve wanted to go into since you were a kid, you had amazing friends, enough hobbies to fill your free time - nothing was getting in the way of your amazing life.
When you had first moved to LA, you couldn’t afford to live alone. So, you went on craiglist and found a girl around your age who had also just moved there and was looking for someone to take the other room of her apartment. You didn’t even think twice about it, and that’s how Kacey came into your life.
You were quick friends. You guys did everything together. Explored, learned, met new people, tried new things, everything. And it was amazing, Kacey was amazing. You couldn’t have asked for a better roommate or best friend.
At this point, being in LA for a year, you guys have settled in more. You have your favorite restaurants, beaches, stores, hikes. You even have a group of amazing people you were more than happy to call your close friends. They were reliable, funny, and honest, which is not always easy to find so fast in a city like LA.
