Did some yoga on Sunday for the first time in probably 8 or 9 months and my wrist hurts so badly it’s stupid. Four days later and it’s still aching. Tuesday Cole and I went for a run, I was a little nervous because of my incision. For a long time it was (and sometimes still is) tricky to even get off the couch or out of bed without a twinge of sharp pain where my muscles were separated at my incision. Walking made my stomach sore, you can imagine how scary the idea of running was. Despite the nervousness I’ve been craving a run so we tried. If we’re being honest, it was a walk/run but I’m still amazed how much I was able to do and I’m not in pain at all today which is great. I plan on going out to run tomorrow.
On another note, I talked to my boss today about going back to work and I can’t get any of the shifts that I requested and that work for my little family. I’m so tired of poorly run businesses that don't prioritize their best employees or employees with (new) families. I understand you can't accommodate everyone's wishes but I do believe employees that make customers happy, make quality products and provide excellent service deserve first pick in shifts at least. Mind you I’ve only been in the job game for 4 almost 5 years but I've worked for some shit employers. Unfortunately I'm told to get used to it and stop being so picky, I'm employed after all. Or maybe I should marry a sugar daddy. I’d be down. Stay at home maw and professional hobbiest are my calling. Okay and maybe some freelance (cause we all know how well I do in school) medical illustration on the side.. We’ll see.
However, my little love machine is just great. Funniest farty dude on the planet. He talks more than his dad and I combined and to no one more than his grandmas. He still smiles in his sleep, hides he face in his hands and buries his nose in my chest until he’s forced to come up for air. His newest adventures are trying to force his entire fist in his mouth, sometimes both at once, and feeling the back of his own head.. I’m not sure what that’s about. Also, drool.
