and i make puns about Chérie to cherries🍒, sakura/cherry 🌸 blossoms, and obviously also France 🇫🇷 (even tho Prism takes place on a fantasy-Earth and, though i am sure French-speaking people exist there and also that Chérie is one of them, i am also totally unaware of what countries/territories exist in Prism. so, actually, i should, uhm, really stop drawing Chérie with the Eiffel Tower on their clothes since, if France VERY likely doesn't exist in Prism then the Eiffel Tower wouldnt either. hm.) since their name is after the famous term-of-endearment: chérie, which means "darling"/"cherished one" in French (which! fun fact! i do have OC-canon lore for why Chérie loves punning with their name 💗💕)

and, of course: i make jokes about Orfeo and oreo-cookies. bc: of course

which.. Orfeo doesn't really "get it". like, he sees the logic, just... he doesn't think it is funny (and, to that, he is wrong). but also, yes, if he ever had one??? i think Orfeo would be embarrassed about how easily you could mcfucking just "Would you do it for a Scooby Snack?" him with a package of oreos LMAO

and, furthermore, their portmanteau ship-name is Chérieo(!!!) which is beautiful and hilarious (in my head, it sounds like "honey-nut cheerios" or a stereotypically British "pip pip, cheerio!" since Chérie lets people pronounce her name p much anyway that they can, long as Chérie can recognize it as "oh, me!", so that includes: the true-French form of "Chérie"🇫🇷, as the English-approximation of "Cherry"🍒, or as the individual's butchered attempt somewhere between — which can include something akin to "cheery"😊. Chérie's opinion/boundaries on their name will be located in an eventually-public post; she is not lax about EVERYTHING regarding their name, just a lot of things. but regardless, Chérie would see "cheerio" is a perfectly valid way to pronounce "Chérieo" is my point lol)

i think i am making one of my Prism OCs look too old to be in love with the other one?

they're supposed to be close to the same functional age. idk their exact ages, but they have, at max, like ~6 year, 7 year age difference and are more likely closer in age than that (additional context: they met one another in their 30s. unlike if they were younger, ergo, the age-gap means nothing. but also i dont want it to be super dramatic age-gap. so i want closer to 2ish, 3ish, naybe even 4ish years; but the fartherest ill go is 7. does that make sense??)

but Chérie has a condition that makes her look younger than they are. it's a symptom of my disability (a by-product of connective tissue nonsense) that i wanted to add to them so i could make cracks about the inconviences through them. kinda like venting, except i understand it's a "good problem to have" in our agist society but also wow do people act Different, thinking i am "in high school or a high school graduate" when im like?? very much Older Than That, im closer to Chérie's true age than i am to an 18 year-old. and i have had many people accuse me of lying until i bring out my drivers license, and im either deadpanned or laughing while everyone is shocked or mortified. my headspace about it getting to be akin that one tiktok audio-meme of "..i caNNOT keep having the eXACT SAME conversation" the more it happens. but when you look at pictures of me in high school, it is SO obvious i aged. like i am developing smile-lines! but i guess back then, when i WAS a high-schooler, i just looked middle-schooler-aged?? idk, fam, i dont know the logic here, this is a tangent, im moving on

and i drew Orfeo with (minimal) wrinkles and went ".......oh god, i fuck with this, i like this a lot". plus, he has a broken-nose + he has high cheek bones and the lines to communicate that just add More Lines to his face which i think ages him further. and in drawing sea-foam in his hair, i stayed away from white seam-foam but i think the sea-foam still just doesnt help either. in my defense, his wrinkles are just a few forehead-wrinkles and subtly small smile-lines

so Chérie looks like she is in her early 20s when she is actually is in her early-mid 30s (which is what i wanted)

and Orfeo looks like he is at least 10+ years older than her. i think other people would place his age at 55+ when im like "he is supposed to be, at most, early 40s. he will, more likely, be mid to late 30s". so that's potentially 20 years off

i guess he has the opposite problem as Chérie? idk. it feels wrong to take away his wrinkles or his broken-nose or any other listed feature. so i dont want to do it. he's been in war, he's in politics, he is a military strategist, it makes sense for him to be aged by his profession and its stressors, i guess. but mainly i just am looking for justification, bc i do not want to take away his wrinkles lol rip

but also, Orfeo is vain. so. he'll be mad (at me) everytime Chérie is paired with Orfeo and people are like "my god, their age gap must be HUGE" when in reality, Orfeo and Chérie aren't that different in age. so i guess i cant win

my very bold theory is the Kynthia-shaped Absence-thing? is Lucine's "Aika" (i think im spelling that right??). or y'know how Apollo has a Kynthia-AI?? this thing is Kythnia's mama's "AI of Kynthia"

except make it something Lucine shunned and hid (...kinda like how Apollo has been hiding Aika, except Lucine is worse), resulting in this fake-Kynthia having this Nowhere King from Centaur World-like descent into villainy based on self-hatred. but whereas the Nowhere King took that self-hatred with a silently murderous contempt, this villainy-journey-of-self-hatred would be jokey. and also feature murderous contempt. but also making gags about it. like. when youd make jokes about wanting to kill yourself while suicidal, and gallows-humor-style laugh. being a silly goof in a dark way is what vibe i personally have gotten from the sketches of this not-Kynthia being

if you want an iPad of your own: get the largest memory storage + what size feels the most comfortable to you (i did this by bringing my favorite-sized sketchbook with me to the Apple store. to which i got the iPad closest in size to my sketchbook, that's how i knew the size i picked would be the most comfortable size they had available for me), so you'll be more likely to use it and also have plenty of space for said projects you may do on it

for me, the most comfortable size just so happened to be its largest size (i forgot the measurements, just that it's the biggest)

do i recommend an iPad?? eh. it's more accessible than a LOT of other drawing tablets, that's for sure. i think it depends on the artist too much to say "yes"/"no" to that. but for me, it works. i'd recommend it to pre-iPad-owning-me lol

bc i love Rapunzel. not in a "i kin her" way though, seeing as i dont relate to the experience of people who kin others (the whole "i was her in another reality, we are connected, she is me, i may even have memories or dreams as her" stuff). i just love her. and i love "Punzie" as one of her nicknames. so i yoinked that shit

and when i say "i love Rapunzel", i do mean outside of Disney too. i'll give any depiction of rapunzel a shot. i loved the fairytale before Disney even made Tangled 🤷 i just also felt like that adaptation spoke to my inner-child specifically, so im soft for Tangled-Rapunzel too

opinion on Tangled / Tangled: The Animated Series?

i like them!

Eugene and Rapunzel are my favorite Disney Prince and Princess (my #2s are Tiana and Naveen, tho i am ridiculously fond of Belle, Ariel and Eric, Cinderella and Cinderella III's Prince Charming, and Snow White. i have positive feelings about all the Disney Princesses and most of the Princes)

most of why i like Tangled is in parallel to my own life. that's all i will say on that

i do think the tone-shifts episode to episode in T:AS are wild. season 1 is wild to re-watch. regardless, i enjoyed a lot of it when it came to its overall plot, and i esp liked the songs

i like watching video-essays on them both and am well-acquainted with people's criticism and praise of both. they're both fair. neither project is perfect by any means

i'm an animation nerd with autism and ADHD that made Disney (and many classic western fairytales) my special interest for most of p much my entire adolescence. however, that special interest in Disney itself has died down in many ways

but i think the main things that disqualify me from being considered a Disney Adult is i think the company itself is shitty. the creatives there are making the best out of a shit situation. but the company itself sucks. i generally see most Disney Adults idolize the company, so i assume that's a qualification i am failing

also, im poor. so. i definitely am not buying $$$ of Loungefly and BoxLunch and Disney store merch every month either. idk if that actually is a qualification, but in a joking-qualification-way, i fail at that too lol

i love people's OC-adaptations of Rapunzel the most, i think. even if it's a Photoshop-edit of Tangled-Rapunzel. i get so soft for people putting their own spin on her. i like how many people want a Rapunzel who is from India for example
