Klaus had been in the exact same position for hours on end now, unbearably stiff and plenty deserving of a break. He sat in his place at the table in the meeting hall, hunched over nigh endless piles of paperwork strewn all over his work space. To the average onlooker it would seem like a bit of a mess, but each and every pile was in fact serving to specifically categorize the reports to Klaus’s exact organization. There was a brewing headache as time went on, but not even that would be able to disrupt his intense focus.
He stacked his current report neatly onto the scouting pile before reaching for a new one, reading it over in silence. That is, until a certain shinobi’s entrance broke his focus. He nodded at her announcement, although his gaze remained fixed on the parchment in front of him. “Ah, thank you, Nonoka. You may place them right over he—”
A shrill yelp followed by a jarring thud cut him off, and Klaus immediately jolted from his seat to turn and face the source. As a result his cape had swept over the surface of the table, blowing an unfortunate number of his papers from their piles, but that was a detail he would not yet notice. Instead he investigated the scene before him, stifling a chuckle once he realized it was just another mishap of Nonoka’s clumsiness.
Klaus collected the supplies off the ground before anything else, but before long he had returned to the fallen girl’s side. With a gentle smile he offered a hand to help her up, “It is quite alright. More importantly… are you alright? You did not injure yourself, correct?”
to hear footsteps come closer, the small sounds of metal being moved, she could safely assume that the commander had been picking up what she had dropped as her hands now fully began to move and push her off the floor. another DIZZY groan left her and nonoka found herself locking her eyes onto the hand that was held out towards her. ( w-w-what a kind gesture!!! ) she thought this to herself as nonoka accepted his aid to stand.
“i-i’m alright, commander! nothing but a little bump
to the head, though it’s not going to stop me!”
although he was showing concern for her, deep cerulean eyes scanned the room only to see the absolute MESS the meeting hall was. ( it wasn’t like this when i.... oh no! ) did she cause this when she had unintentionally startled the commander out of his seat? as a result, nonoka quickly put her hands together and began to stutter even more.
“i-i-i-i didn’t mean to cause such a mess! PLEASE,
let me return the favor and help you, commander!”
