FAR AND AWAY 🦊

I painted my first fox in December, and I enjoyed it so much I decided to use the wily Red Fox again as the subject for this piece. She is settled in the far North with an idyllic snowy dreamscape and the Aurora Borealis flickering in sky.

This is my biggest completed canvas painting to date! Since last year, I’ve slowly been scaling up my work as I’ve built confidence, expanded my skillset and widened the tools I use to create. This piece came together in stages - the introduction of spray paint into my work has really changed my process and made it more adaptive and spontaneous.

EXISTENTIAL CRISIS 😱

We’ve all had times in the past two years where we want to scream endlessly into the abyss: I channeled those feelings into this work of the noble, but cantankerous, possum. As an alternative title, I’ve affectionately dubbed this guy “Moonshine”.

Scream with him, it’ll be therapeutic!
