The start of the great courtyard instillation. Succulent and moss wreath I love our west coast moss and plants that grow in such harsh environments, clinging to granite rocks and pounded by storms.

November 1st. Clean up day after a really beautiful fall on the west coast, it has finally sunk in that it’s time to wear rubber boots daily.

Mom and I gave the courtyard a clean up, and moved the big boxwood filled pots around the courtyard. It feels good to make things fresh and ready for what lies ahead.

I have a plan for the courtyard in front of the gallery, add more seating a few fun lights in summer and hopefully an art instillation with succulents. I really hope to have this up for Christmas, especially as it would look great lit.

We made a huge mud puddle in the courtyard, it was inevitable as we removed the garden and the earth was swollen with all the rain lately.

The window now features a simple string of white bunting, I made these with sail cloth from a laser sail. On an easel in the window is the lovely canvas Dream Time, and a few of my driftwood boats are around the sides. Feels fresh for the start of November.

Christmas decorating and lights will be the next project very soon.

Granville Island is my favourite place to provision in Vancouver. Wonderful shops that specialize in all the essentials! Granville Island offers short term moorage directly in front of the market. This trip we moored beside a wonderful converted Tugboat.
