Okay, I know he'll regret it down the line but I can't stop imagining Defernull Spamton being a litte shit during the first days of Defernull Tenna having a ring like:

"Wow, so you really can't hurt me nor hypnotise me like this? Mind if I take your wallet a buy some stuff with it? Yes? Sweet! How about giving you hug? No kicking? Oh I'm going to love this."

Meanwhile Defernull Tenna is just screaming mentally.

God you're so right he probably would. He's maxxing out all his credit cards as we speak!!

I want to say that your fantastic delicious AU gives me a deep-seated sort of dread when I read it that I only recently realized is extremely similar to the feeling I had when reading the fic “Like Father, Like Son” for the first time a couple years ago. (For context, it’s an anguishing Rise of the TMNT fic where Leo gets kidnapped and forced to be a gladiator against his will. His thorn ring is a shock collar set way too high.)

Turns out violently Pavlov-ing a normally bright, theatrical, and energetic character into becoming a shell (lol) of their former self that’s lost their spark somewhere along the way is a concept that makes me ill. Keep up the great work! I fear every update!

VIOLENT PAVLOV-ING HFSDHKFHDSJ, what a phrase, dang that kinda is whats happening to Tenna huh? Someone put these two back on stage, they need to be back in their natural enviromnment ! Doing stuff that isnt theater work kills the patient!!!!

Is Spamton angry at himself for not enjoying hurting Tenna as much as he feels he ought to or is his anger immediately rerouted to Tenna for being too nice to be satisfying to hurt? Does Spamton think about setting Tenna free if he wasn't weary of the consequences of his actions (Tenna may have not hated him before but after this who knows??) or is he still dabbling in copium?

Oh he's not angry.

Yeah I guess you could say it does upset him that recently his revenge has been less enjoyable, but I'd actually say the main thing he's feeling rn is conflicted (with a side of guilt)!

The argument they had in the morning was a very honest conversation, that gave Tenna a chance to call out some of Spamton's flawed logic, and also say his side of things! As much as Spamton has been in the mindset of only caring about his own side of things, he has been thinking about what Tenna said.

And the part with Tenna covering his mouth against his will, and the static stuff was Weird As Hell to him, so he's had much to think about! Now even more so with that answer Tenna gave him before he ran off.

I don't think he's quite there yet with thinking about freeing him, but he is rethinking his perspective on what he initially thought was justified revenge!

Oh how nice, people usually ask if Spamton is that one that still loves Tenna! And well, there is a reason Tenna's immediate answer here was "of course not" (and it wasn't the ring talking)!
