Mokuba was now much older than how he was when they last met. All of the stuff that happened , in his eyes was in his past now that he was Eighteen, or as much as he could put past him. Some of the stuff with Yami Malik still scares him to this day, but.. Seeing as this was Malik standing in front of him, he had hoped they could start fresh.

Mokuba kinda just rubbed his nose with a playful tone, he seemed to dress much more proper now in a suit, taking his job very seriously.

To be frank, Mokuba’s glare was entirely warranted. Pegasus had formerly entrapped his soul within a card, leaving his body an empty shell; and forcing his older brother to do his bidding. He wasn’t surprised that the Kaiba brothers weren’t overly fond of him, but he remained steadfastly patient regardless. He’d needed a favor of sorts. For that, he’d enlist the help of KaibaCorp, albeit without any attempts of hostile takeover this time.

“I’d rather not pick up where we left off, though. We weren’t quite friendly.”

“My apologies, of course, but something tells me they’re too little, too late, as the saying goes.”

Boy, did he ever remember this person.. Mokuba still was uneasy around him, and to be quite honest, he was still trying to figure out if he should trust him. Come to think of it, what Pegasus did was something that makes sense when you’re trying to force someone to come out and do what they want. Mokuba also learned that.

❝ A lot did happen.. That was a long time ago though--, and it seems like you’ve changed.. At least I hope. ❞

For now, Mokuba would trust him.

The male bowed at his waist slightly with a small smile. It was very odd to hear someone call him Mr. Kaiba, but it was very nice.

Mokuba was finally finishing up work for the day, so as he packed up some stuff and saw someone, he was a bit.. Shocked to see someone approaching him, after closing the suit case, Mokuba straightened his back, looking forward towards the girl. He seemed confident enough in handling things by himself, but honestly he wouldn’t be s hocked if she was here for Seto.

Mokuba noticed someone who seemed rather out of place, seeing as he was a big part of KaibaCorp and had been here for quite some time, when he saw a girl walking around town, he wanted to make sure he was welcoming, and capable of helping her.

If anything, Mokuba was actually very proud of his big brother, showing such a strong will and belief in Atem coming back. Going as far to entrust Yugi with everything, and more importantly, hearing Kaiba’s words before they parted ways, it was kinda nice.. It showed how much they have grown over the past few years.

Either way, Mokuba stretched his arms, sighing , he had been hard at work , and only now was getting a change for some fresh air outside of KaibaCorp.
