Selene, a dragon beastmen, Selene is more of an occasional house crasher at the tribe, rather than a full-pledged member. Selene has never been a constant presence at the estate, in fact, she is more likely to crash it with a lady or two that she's entertaining, than to turn up alone. One of her only true friends, Roen, is always asleep, so they've agreed to meet once a year at the annual Imperial Winter Ball. However, Selene is nosy, it isn't uncommon for her to leave her "guests" to their own devices while she explores the laboratories and other facilities at the estate, to watch the other beastmen work. There's envy there, maybe even jealousy, as she's never really been passionate about anything, she's far more apathetic about the world than people would expect her to be. Being alive for centuries, being a part of the Empire's founding myth, even if by mistake (she really didn't know the first Emperor, it was accidental that they shared drinks at a seedy bar while he was undercover), being considered akin to a God by others, revered by some, hated by some, all of it is just exhausting. The only other person whose place she crashes into uninvited is the Mage Tower masters office, but he doesn't seem to particularly mind, it is also a welcome reminder that he, just like Roen and Selene, aren't alone in their misery.

2 + 1 — au

★ aksel is probably the first to find out valentin's pregnant, and he's kind of what??, so he sniffs valentin from head to toe to see if he's hallucinating or not. anyway, they're both really happy.

★ the pregnancy is a bit risky due to certain factors: because they didn't know what was actually possible, valentin is small and a vampire, and he feeds only on aksel's blood—which is not infinite, even if aksel's body tries its hardest to meet valentin's needs.

★ valentin is usually satisfied with what aksel gives him, however, during his pregnancy, he obviously feels much thirstier, which is difficult because he can't drink any blood other than aksel's without feeling sick. sometimes aksel felt faint due to low blood pressure, and it would be a little funny if it weren't so desperate for valentin.

★ aksel built a nest and made sure valentin didn't leave it under any circumstances. not to mention that he would circle the nest every time before leaving for work.

★ valentin could hardly sleep a single night; he liked to stand outside because of the moon or sit on aksel’s lap and feel him sleep, feel his breathing, sometimes face to face without blinking. it was kind of scary, but aksel found it somehow alluring.

★ the baby would always move a lot when aksel was about to get home from work; it was as if she knew exactly when it was time. actually, she moved around a lot in general; she was a very lively baby. sometimes you could see her limbs pressing against valentin’s belly, and aksel would panic (but happy).

★ the baby is born prematurely, but she’s a beautiful little ball of lilac fur with yellow eyes—which will turn dark brown after a while, since the baby is born closer to her wolf form. they call her emma.

★ her test results showed that her vision is excellent, she’s completely healthy—because even though she was a little wiggly in the womb, once she was out, this little wolf is a menace.

★ her fangs are sharper and more prominent than those of normal wolves because of her vampire genes, and her regenerative abilities are also better. she’s also a bit more carnivorous than they expected—she bites everything that moves all the time once her teeth start coming in.

★ once she learns to walk, she'll start climbing everything, which means she'll steal the meat off aksel's plate too.

★ she likes to read stories to valentin as she learns to talk and read; she also likes to sit on his lap while he plays the piano, to hang onto aksel and to go fishing with him.

★ she helps valentin a lot and cares about him just as much as aksel does, she always gives in more to his orders, and when they go out together, she leads him and holds his hand the whole time.

★ the first time she learns to transform, she literally needs aksel to escort her because she runs all over the forest in five minutes, going in circles. in fact, she always gets kinda sad when aksel has to go out at night; she really clings to valentin and won’t let him go at all.

★ she's like a mix of the two, although you can see that she takes after aksel quite a bit, but in terms of personality, she's more like valentin.
