I drew the Castle Crashers knights in a Japanese anime/manga style and came up with some settings for them. Here are my headcanon:

Red Knight is the leader and commander of the Four Knights. A commander shaped by a military academy, her mind strikes with lightning-fast precision and agility. She is a perfectionist who upholds order above all, and is often left exasperated by the eccentric personalities of the other three knights.

Blue Knight is a calm and powerful knight, serving as the Red Knight’s second-in-command. A man of few words, he was once the son of the Ice King and the leader of a resistance in the Glacier Region. After his defeat, he fled to the continent where the kingdom lies, where he was recruited by the Red Knight.

Orange Knight is the Four Knights’ main source of area-of-effect spells and melee damage. Kind-hearted, innocent, and somewhat naïve, he is the mood-maker among the four. Young and imprecise with his magic, his attacks are often excessive—but the others dote on him regardless.

Green Knight is a half-elf dark druid, well-versed in the aspects of nature’s “venom” and “decay.” Small in stature and quick in movement, he excels in long-blade dueling and carries experimental equipment with him at all times. He calls himself the team’s “logistics” and “researcher”—even when conducting research right on the battlefield.
