i think what confuses me the most about how white liberals have knee jerk reactions to poc not tolerating fascist is if the fascist just didnt exist we would not have these issues like the world would quite literally be a better place if everyone was in lockstep and agreed “anyone who thinks xyz minority is subhuman is not allowed among us in any capacity” like it is not a hard ask, that is the lowest bar in the world u would think we are asking them to split a atom or something, they just dont see how believing other people are not people based on race is inherently violent like there is no way for that belief to be held without you being a danger to other people

I would like you guys to keep in mind that betta fish are still domestic animals like your cats and dogs.

Releasing a betta fish you bought at the store is the same as releasing your dog or cat. It will either die very quickly or kill off native species.

Yes, betta fish can and do live in rice paddies. Those are controlled environments, they don’t have many predators there because they are supervised by farmers, but rice paddies are still much more dangerous than a tank. Your pet Betta has never lived in a rice paddy, let alone the wild. They do not have the skills to survive in the wild.

This narrative pisses me off so I’d like to debunk it as someone who took two years of pre-college law.

(note that, while pre-college law doesn’t make me an expert, they still taught me about these things!!)

One of the first things they teach you is that defendants should NOT publish evidence on social media. If they plan on having a trial, publishing evidence on social media can ruin their credibility or result in legal repercussions.

To legally qualify as defamation, a statement must: 1) be false but presented as fact; 2) be published or told to a third-party; 3) show fault amounting to negligence; and 4) cause harm to the person defamed. Unless this is proven to be a false statement that affects the defamed person’s life, it will not be considered defamation. This statement is not in reference to a person with an identity known to the 3rd party, and, therefore, would not go very far in court.

A person talking about their experience online does not owe you evidence unless their statement IS defamatory.
