I’ve been saying this forever! OMG YES!
Table of Plenty - A Spell of Providence
Then the wise woman said, “Wipe away thy tears, Two-eyes, and I will tell thee something to stop thee ever suffering from hunger again. Just say to thy goat “Bleat, my little goat, bleat. Cover the table with something to eat!” and then a clean well-spread little table will stand before thee, with the most delicious food upon it of which thou mayst eat as much as thou art inclined for. And when thou hast had enough, and hast no more need of the little table, just say “Bleat, bleat, my little goat, I pray, And take the table quite away. Then it will vanish again from thy sight.” Hereupon the wise woman departed.
- One-Eye, Two-Eyes, and Three-Eyes
Intent: To obtain needed money or provisions.
Materials:
Paper and a writing utensil
A pinch or two of rice
A white candle (a taper or chime candle is best)
Ideal Timing: Waxing or Full Moon
This spell is not meant to bring great wealth or fancy possessions to the caster. It is to be used only to bring yourself or another something that is badly needed, particularly if unfortunate financial circumstances are making paying the bills or buying necessities difficult. It is meant to tide you over until your situation improves, and can be combined with or cast in addition to other money-drawing or prosperity spells where needed. As such, the materials are as simple as possible.
Write what you need on the paper. The list can be as long or as short as you need it to be, but the more specific you are, the better the spell will work. Be sure that you only ask for what you really need. A little excess is fine, in case of something unexpected, but don’t go overboard.
Fold the paper into a small packet with the rice inside and place it in a fire-safe dish. Light the white candle and carefully drip wax onto the packet, turning it until it is completely covered on all sides. (I suggest using tweezers or a pencil to turn the packet so you don’t burn your fingers.)
As you drip the wax onto the packet, chant seven times:
Blesséd rice and words of power, Aid me in my needful hour. Hear my cry, I pray you heed, The help I ask comes not from greed.
Hide the packet away somewhere it won’t be disturbed. If you have a few coins to hide with it in a jar or crock, so much the better.
Once your circumstances have improved and you are once more back on your feet, retrieve the packet and burn it in a fire-safe dish. Recite over the flames:
You gave me help when I had none; You have my thanks, your work is done.
The spell may be repeated as often as you have need.

Roughskin - A Protective Glamour Spell
“Before I consent to your wish, I shall require three things - a dress as golden as the sun, another as silvery as the moon, and a third as glittering as the stars; and besides this, I shall require a mantle made of a thousand skins of rough fur sewn together, and every animal in the kingdom must give a piece of his skin toward it.”
[…] In the night, when every one slept, she rose and took from her jewel-case a gold ring, a gold spinning-wheel, and a golden hook. The three dresses of the sun, moon, and stars she folded in so small a parcel that they were placed in a walnut shell; then she put on the fur mantle, stained her face and hands black with walnut-juice, and committing herself to the care of Heaven, she left her home.
- The Princess in Disguise
—–
Intent: To protect and disguise oneself from those who mean to harm you.
Materials:
Empty walnut shell, in halves
A piece of your own hair or a nail clipping
Small patchwork cloth bag
Glue & rubber band
Herbs: Dogbane, Hyssop, Basil, Heather, Juniper Berries, Poppy Seeds
Ideal Timing: Full Moon, for protection, but can be performed anytime.
Obtain an empty walnut shell. You can use the shells off of the whole bagged walnuts that most grocery stores carry in the produce section. Try to crack the walnut so that the shell comes away in two halves. This makes reassembling it for the charm much easier.
Mix the following herbs together in small pinches:
Dogbane - for disguise
Hyssop - for warding off harm
Basil - for general protection
Heather Blossom - for warding off assault
Juniper Berries - for secret-keeping
Poppy Seeds - for invisibility
Carefully stuff the herb mixture into the two empty halves of the walnut. Use little dots of glue to help the herbs stay in place. At the very last, add a strand of your hair or a nail clipping. Line the edges of the shell with glue and carefully fit them back together. Wrap them with the rubber band to keep everything in place until the glue dries.
Once the charm is dry, place it in a patchwork cloth bag. You can purchase one or make it yourself. It only has to be large enough to hold the walnut.
Hold the bag between your palms and say:
I garb myself in many skins To keep harm out and safety in I place the truth within this shell Now guard my life and guard it well
You can either carry the bag with you whenever you feel you need protection, or you can hide the bag in a wooden box if one is available.

The Wall of Thorns - A Spell of Protection
Then round that place there grew a hedge of thorns thicker every year, until at last the whole castle was hidden from view, and nothing of it could be seen but the vane on the roof. […] From time to time many Kings’ sons came and tried to force their way through the hedge; but it was impossible for them to do so, for the thorns held fast together like strong hands, and the young men were caught by them, and not being able to get free, there died a lamentable death.
- The Sleeping Beauty
Intent: To protect one’s home and property.
Ideal Timing: Full Moon, but can be made anytime.
Materials:
Glass Jar with Lid
Black Taper Candle
Planter Pot & Soil
Super Glue
Pins & Thorns
Duct Tape
Herbs: Dill, Basil, Salt, Vinegar, Lemon or Pickle Juice
Load the bottle with the pins, herbs, and just enough of your chosen liquid to fill it about ¾ full. It should be noted that some witches prefer to use urine for their home protection bottles, both for traditional and territorial reasons. This is certainly a viable choice if you are comfortable with it, but if not, then the options listed above will be quite effective.
Seal the top and secure with a strip of duct tape or electrical tape to prevent leaks. Once it is sealed well, begin to attach the flat ends of the thorns to the outside of the bottle using the superglue so that the points face outward. Be very careful not to stick yourself while handling the bottle!
Once all the thorns are in place, light the black candle and drip the wax over the top of the bottle. As the wax falls, hold the image of a thorny protective barrier in your mind and continue to turn the bottle, letting the wax spill down the sides to help hold the thorns in place. Keep dripping the wax until the cap is completely covered and all the thorns have been secured.
Pour some dirt into the planter pot, place the bottle inside, and pour in more dirt until the bottle is covered. Keep the pot somewhere on your property. You can even grow flowers in it, if you like, but it is not recommended that you use it for anything edible.
If you move to a new home, be sure to take the pot with you, or dig up the bottle and take it along; to remove the ward, break the wax seal and empty the contents of the bottle somewhere safe.

How to Write Your Own Spells
There are lots of ways to create spells, from planning everything to the minutest detail ahead of time to absolutely flying by the seat of your pants in the moment. If you'd like to write your own spells, either for use in your craft or as a creative exercise, here are some suggested steps that I use in my own practice:
1) Determine the intent or goal of your spell. Decide, first and foremost, what you want the spell to do. Refine your goal if necessary and try not to be too nebulous. Your intent tells the spell what it's meant to do. A more focused goal may increase the chances of success.
2) Determine how you want the spell to manifest. Decide how the spell should work and what the result should look like. This is a good time to build in a sign of success, especially for spells that may not work in an obvious or visible way.
3) Determine what or whom the spell will affect. If the spell is to have a target, be it a person or a place or an animal or an object, decide what that should be and how they or it will be represented in the casting.
4) Determine how long the spell is meant to work. If your spell is timebound or has a deadline, decide what that will be. If the spell is meant to work long-term, you may want to check in and refresh it from time to time. (Not every spell will be timebound. Many spells will simply expire when they have fulfilled their purpose or if they are blocked or circumstances are not favorable.)
5) Determine the timing of the spell, if applicable. Not everyone uses celestial or astrological timing for their spells, but if you do, look into the prevailing conditions and decide on an advantageous time for your casting. (Please note that magical timing can only enhance your spell and casting something on the "wrong" day will not necessarily cause it to fail.)
6) Determine what methods and materials you want to use to cast the spell. Decide how you're going to go about performing the casting, whether you're doing a ritual or making a charm or just using energy. If you're going to need a ritual space or physical components, plan that out and make sure it fits with what you want to do.
7) Determine the words, if any, which will empower the spell. If you want to include a prayer or a petition or a song or an incantation with your spell, decide what that should be. This is not strictly necessary and the words need not be spoken aloud. (Rhyming incantations are not required, but if you prefer them that way, you can certainly do so.)
8) Prepare the materials for casting the spell. Get all your necessaries together ahead of time. Make sure you have everything you need, that tools and components are in good and useable condition, prepare your workspace, and make sure everything is within easy reach so you don't have to stop and search for things in the middle of your casting. (And for goodness sake, if you're working with open flame, observe fire safety and tie your hair and sleeves back.)
9) Finalize details and perform the casting. When you're ready to begin, try to eliminate as many possibilities for distraction or interruption as possible. Go over your spell and components one more time, then proceed with casting the spell.
10) Record the particulars for future reference and to determine how well the spell worked. Make a record of the spell, including your goal, how it should manifest, the words and components used, the date of the casting, the casting method and procedure, and how the casting went. If there are any additional details or observations that seem important, include those as well. This will serve as a useful learning tool in the future and will allow you to check your work if the results make themselves known.
It's useful to write spells from time to time if the inspiration strikes you, in order to better understand how they fit together and how they work. Plus it's a fun and creative journaling exercise and recording the spells you cast a great way to measure your progress later on.

Happy Witching! 🔮✨
Low Energy Witchcraft
I'm neurodivergent and i experience really intense burnout. I get to a point where I struggle to even get out of bed, take my meds, remember to drink water, let alone practice. But, when I want to practice i have a list of things i can usually do. Everyone's experiences with burn out/low energy are different so this list may not apply to you, and that's okay. Take what resonates, leave what doesn't and i hope you enjoy my silly little list :)
create a playlist and infuse it with an intention. eg, a money spell playlist filled with songs about wealth.
draw sigils with soap when in the shower. (you can also use a wet wipe if you can't shower)
found some juice? give it a little shake and use the ingredients as a spell.
have food that has grains as ingredients? wow! an abundance spell!
the classic add intention to your tea and coffee.
bind your hair. for me with is as simple as putting my hair in a ponytail.
watch a witchy video. while not technically practising witchcraft, sometimes all you need is to sit back and relax to connect with your practice.
when I have a decent amount of energy I'll grab a large pillar candle and carve sigils into it. I use it as a long-term spell; all I have to do to activate it is light the candle. I like to light one of these spell candles when I'm having a bad day.
if you're religious, pray. Even if you're lying in bed. Even if you haven't showered in a week. If it makes you happy and you can, do it
burn some insence! it smells good, you don't have to really worry about forgetting about it, it's good for cleansing. it's great!
take a nap with some crystals. any restorative crystals or calming crystals work great! just make sure that they aren't geodes or roughs. i'd hate for you to hurt yourself while sleeping.
if you don't have any crystals for your nap, set an intention instead. please let yourself rest.
It's important to remember that you're allowed to take breaks from your craft. If you're forcing yourself to practice when you have no energy because "that's what a good witch would do!" then you're probably going to make your situation worse. it's a great way to fall out of love with witchcraft. give yourself some grace. rest is infinitely more important than 1 full moon, 1 new moon, or missing your daily/weekly/monthly cleanse. You aren't a bad person if you don't pull your morning tarot card or check the astrology forecast for today. and you aren't a bad person if you miss your daily prayer. take care of yourself. your health is WAY more important than your craft. Go get a drink of water and take care of yourself <3
Yo so....
Witchcraft is actually hella customizable. You can invent shit. I don't know how this: "By the book, uber traditional, heavily controlled" thing gained so much traction, but...
You can make your own holidays
You can make your own Gods
You can design your own divination methods
You can make sigils -however the fuck you want
You can create your own theory on energy systems based on your personal experience
Write your own ethics and codes of conduct
Describe crystals or herbs by their ENERGY instead of a keyword list you got off Pinterest
Cleanse in a completely different way than the books tell you to
Literally the possibilities are unfathomably endless. And I've successfully done all of these. Go forth and get weird with it.
Rain. You agree. Reblog

✨🎄 Celebrating Yuletide 🎄✨
This year, Yule begins on Monday, 21st of December 2020 and ends on Friday, 1st of January 2021. It is a 12-day event celebrated by the Germanic people and marks the Winter solstice; the end of the darkest days of the year, and the return of light - in both a physical way as well as metaphorically, which is especially significant given the weight of the past year. Celebrating Yuletide is a great way to let go of all of that negative energy, so here are 12 things you can do to honour this Yuletide!
Decorate your home with sacred plants connected with the Winter Solstice, such as evergreen wreaths and boughs, mistletoe, holly, and ivy. Learning about the Pagan symbolism of each plant is a great way to connect to this sacred time.
Harvest a Yule tree in a responsible way from a tree farm that practices sustainable agriculture, if you can, or intuitively select a tree or symbolic item from a shop in your area. Set up the Yule tree in your home and decorate it with lights, sun symbols, and other such imagery. Reflect on blessings of joy, renewal, and well-wishes as you do this.
Decorate your space with electric lights and candles to represent the Sun. On one of the nights of Solstice, turn off all the lights, experience the longest night, reflect on renewal and peace, and then turn the lights back on to symbolise the birth of the New Solar Year.
Meditate on the rising and/or setting of the Solstice Sun. Note its position on the horizon at this time of year and observe its change in position in the sky as the days start to become longer once again.
Learn about sacred sites aligned with the Winter Solstice. Envision your own celebrations of Winter Solstice being part of a vast network of Solstice celebrations happening around the planet (Winter in the Northern hemisphere & Summer in the South). Watch a live video of Winter Solstice at a sacred site.
You can recognise Christmas traditions and legends such as Santa as a multi-cultural, multi-religious characters. Learn about the Pagan roots of Santa and other Winter Solstice sacred gift bringers, including the Goddess Holda.
Learn about holidays foods, symbols, customs, and/or lore from an ancestral ethnicity and incorporate something you have learned into your celebration of Yuletide to make it more personal to you and your roots if that applies.
Burn a Yule Log in a hearth, in a bonfire, or by burning candles on, in, or near a log of Oak on an altar. Learn about Yule Log traditions and create your own version in a respectful way.
Listen to Pagan Yuletide music. You can also create a Yuletide chant, poem, or song.
Join others in celebrating Pagan Yuletide as much as is safe to do so; this can also be done online with like-minded people who share a similar goal.
Contribute to a charity of your choice and spread the joy of Yuletide.
Focus on world peace and planetary well-being in your rituals, meditations, prayers, and other magickal workings. Peace-making was part of Winter Solstice among many communities in the past. Let’s keep this tradition alive!
May this Winter Solstice see the Sun fill your life with warmth and light, and cause all of the past year’s negativity and darkness to evaporate from existence. 🌞
This post will be part of a Masterpost on witchy rituals to do around this New Year, so stay posted! 🤍
I also offer Tarot services here, including Year Ahead prediction readings which are always popular around this time as they’re a great way to get a head-start on the New Year ✨

Cinderblock Banish/bind/hex
Please research before doing this don’t take it lightly!!
You can choose your intent(aka the /‘s)
Ingredients
Cinderblock/brick/BIG rock
Paper and envelope
String/cord
Body of water
Write the name of the target you’re banishing/binding/hexing and place it in envelope. You can use corresponding herbs of your intent in the envelope. Tie to cinder/rock/brick(make sure it’s very very secure and will never come off, can even superglue) and SLAM it into the water.
Banish-they will never harm you Bc they are at the bottom of [body of water]. Picture them floating down stream and sinking.
Bind- binded to the cinderblock and cannot remove themselves, at bottom of [body of water] picture them stuck in chains at the bottom peacefully.
Hex- they are drowning in sorrows and are bonded to the pain they caused/cause you. Picture them stuck in chains at the bottom thrashing around and the water(metaphor for negativity and pain) entering their body.
Autumn Healing Brew
(Standard Disclaimer: I am not a physician. This is purely a suggestion and is not meant to circumvent, supersede, or replace modern medicine. Please consult your doctor before trying any new medication or treatment and take all proper mundane measures to care for your health. Avoid or replace any ingredients to which you are allergic.)
This is my favorite recipe for recovering from cold and flu. I made a batch of it this morning for some of my officemates who haven't been feeling well and I thought I would share in case anyone needs a pick-me-up.
You will need:
Black tea (I usually use Earl Grey for this recipe)
Honey (local is best if you can get it)
Ginger paste
A fresh orange
Cinnamon stick (if desired)
Brew the tea on the strong side and fill your favorite mug about 2/3 of the way. Add a pea-sized amount of ginger paste plus honey to taste and stir well. Slice the orange into wedges. Select a piece and prick the rind with a fork before adding it to the cup of tea. Macerate the orange a little to release the juice and pulp. If you want, you can also add a cinnamon stick for flavor.
Breathe in the steam while the tea is hot, then sip slowly once it's cooled to a drinkable temperature. It's best to drink it while it's hot. I find this really helps with cough and sore throat, plus it's tasty and comforting. Nothing like a good cuppa to put oneself right again.
Pro-Tip: If you want to make a decongestant version, add a pinch of cayenne pepper. Your nose will run like a faucet, but it helps.
